With it just being christmas i had some funds in my account, so decided it was time for an improvement on my pc spec.

Old Spec:

Intel Pentium E5400 @ 3.33 ghz

Asrock G31M-S

4gb Kingston Ram (DDR2)

Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 512mb

I used some of the things from my old build for now, and replaced my mobo, cpu and ram. It arrived today and I installed it right away, I didnt get to many pics but here is what I got, i'll take some more when I get my next upgrades.

New Spec:

Intel i7 2600k

MSI P67A-GD65

8gb Mushkin silverline

Forgot to get most pictures due to excitement but I will get some when I move into new case and psu later next month and get the cables sorted.

Left to do :

New Case

New PSU

More Ram

New GFX card

So what do you think, definatly an improvement

Thanks, and im looking at getting the Bitfenix Shinobi and not sure on the psu yet, looked at the ocz range but not to sure yet

Nice hardware and we should need more pics. I somehow never liked to have the psu above the cpu heatsink, because i think it would suck alot of unesecerray hot air in. I have same issue in my Lian Li pc-x500. I like to have psu in bottom or away from any heat sources in the case. BTW im sure you be really happy with your 2600k cpu. SB rocks

Also you could do better on cable managment

I promise more pics will be taken when I move case next month, I agree about the psu, but the case is just temporary, and cable managment in this case is hard, you cant send them round the back because there is no room :/

I love getting new hardware, look forward to the other updates.

Only thing bugging me is the bright red sata cable, but that can be changed at a later date. What you all think? Temps idle around 29c so not too bad, OC coming next week

Theres always room for cable management. I lay the case sidewards set the panel on in the grooves the i lay ontop of the case and hit the edge with a hammer until it went imto position. The thing is tidier than ever now lol
