Are we there yet?

yes I have finally found a spot for my storage drive the ssd's fit nicely behind the rear panel cable management is still looking poorly as I dont want to realy tie them down til I have sleeved everything properly. case is back together for now tonight I'll snap some more pics and show it off. But for now its time to head off for work

ok the done for now pics lol still need to sleeve psu and fans and add a couple more fans and Mayhems Dyes gotta wait til budget allows but I am pleased with how she looks

actually its gonna be a tad darker than that my plan is to replace the blue fans with cm green sickle flows eventually so Mick has shown me how to make the coolant the same color and bada bing

this is what it'll look like

my issue is now this I wanted to go push pull with the fans mainly so they shine inside the case as well as thru the mesh but I am already at the onboard controllers max amps so 2 more fans would seriously overload it
sad.gif
now my psu is still way under load so I could easily add them to it but then my fans would not all be at the same speeds. So I'm guessing I'll run the top 4 fans on the controller and the lower 2 on psu this way I dont have opposing fan speeds fighting each other in the push pull catagory

lol I forgot to post a pic of where I finally mounted my HDD lmao its about the only place I could find and had to trim a lil of the top metal off to route the cables thru for it.

but I think its in a good spot with that 200mm fan blowing on it no way will it get hot lmao and yes it is mounted not just stuck in there.

Looking brill so far mate

. With the PSU cables sleeved it will look much, much better. Multi-coloured cables ruin the look of the inside of a case no matter how good the cable management is.

Should minimize vibrations too, having it there I would have thought?

actually the snipers hdd mounts are excellent for vibrations they mount in rubber then in cage

scuffed it lightly with a scotch brite pad ya know the green one lol and then went over it with lots of light coats. I'd say I went roughly 10-15 mins between coats as recommended on the rattle can. just keep spraying light coats until its completely covered then allow to dry the required time before handling. I waited about 3 hours then brought it inside to finish curing over night

Well seein is as I posted my changes on the wrong thread figured I post the actual case here now lol

Here she is in all her Glory the XSPC Hive 2 Tower Water Cooling Case

With the Noctua NH-D14 and a HDD in front of her to show size comparisons

and a preview pic of her back up and running

Just kind slapped together for now as I am debating having the case professionally powder coated. its a great case but the brushed ali (as Tom calls it) leaves finger prints that are difficult to get off. Plus I'd like to examine other options of expanding the cooling to a 480mm rad in the roof and leaving the lower area for my ssd's and hdd's , This case does not come with front bay covers they are sold seperatly, but the snipers ones fit in nicely

again still a work in progress just an update. (Hell I may see about selling it and getting the 932

)

Too much green, it needs a bit of AMD red in there
laugh.gif

lmao good one Bro the green is only temp if I keep it. will have everything painted or powder coated to match. need a fan controller to power tha topside fans and of course to get them installed lol still sorting thru my bins for my fan screws so far can only find my silver ones and I know I have alot of black ones somewhere.

if you did go with a 480 in the top, i think it would look good.

yeah would like to have it all up top but I kinda like it down below as well. If I do go 480 it will deffo be up top. with a 360 in the bottom for gpu's if I ever get a reference card lmao trying to upgrade to a 580
