what was stupid IMHO is the hdd cage was screwed in but the optical cage was riveted in. Not to worry though there prolly not going back in anyways. Still tossing paint scheme and case name about in my head but for now I need sustenance to think lol works been a killer all week so far and I still have 3 days to go in this unforgiving 100+ heat

was actually thinking along the Fire Storm lines (not that Storm has to be in the cases name lol) But it wont work with the green/blue coolant Mayhem is sending me So then I started thinking along the lines of a stormy sea that I can make work with green/blue coolant. But I have also toyed with a camo look lol. So ya see I'm still tossing it around in my head alot. Already have the mods pretty much lined out just gotta get the time and some parts in to make sure it'll work without anymore cutting. I have already dropped the rad for another one plus since the optical bays no longer exist lol dropped the bay res/pump combo for a pump and res. Rad choice is still kinda iffy as the case is very wide I am thinking along the 140mm rad line but a triple 140mm rad is alot taller so thats a burst bubble. surface wise the double 140mm is a tad less than the triple 120mm. So cooling performance should be equal. Then to add to my idea tossing about I've been thinking why rattle can it when airbrushing is soooooooo much more kick ass and details are alot easier to pull out. But I dont have airbrush equipment and thats an added cost factor lol. Man I am rattlin along lol

btgw these pics were taken along the way she is fully primed and drying now awaiting 3-4 hours for light sanding.

ok so now y'all can see part of the direction I'm going

will need to color sand and spray a clear coat over it. I went with flat white and I'm not overly happy lol. But easily fixed by color sanding and gloss coating it. Really thought the flat would pop more lol

also the shade doesnt help it show as well.

a shot inside with the flash on after touching it lol I may stay flat it looks and feels better once insie

wet sanded awaiting drytime then another coat or 2 wet sanding helps ya find where ya sprayed lightly at lol for the most part I was good a little light in a couple areas on the side panels is all. So tonight the last few coats then tomorrow after setting all night I'll light dry sand it and then clear coat it.

best part is its like 95F outside still so drying wont take long at all lol

Lookin' good dude.

Thanks Mate I think she'll look good when I'm done. Water cooling might be on hold a tad (gotta wait and see what paycheck is like lol alot of ot last few weeks but I'm out on injured reserve atm pulled back muscle thursday

But if its light I'll start doing piece-mill ordering like get the rad as thats the main part I need to get fitted in. And still have to come up with a name for her. Hoping it smacks me as I put her back together.

My plans for the storage drive

well glad I decided to color sand and spray gloss clear I'm liking it so far

the light wet color sanding has made a very smooth finish from what is normally a ruffish case (the texture of the Storm Sniper's powder coat isnt smooth) Shes all shiny now

reassembled for now next up the rad mods and finding a better spot for the storage drive I knew it would fit behind the mobo tray but where I put it was to close to the door. And I dont want it further over as it will impede cable management

Thanks my camera really doesn't do it justice. Maybe once I'm done with the project the next thing I should get is a better camera lol it is after all like 7-10 years old and only like 3.2 megapixels also contemplating getting the windowed side panel

windowing the side panel should be a must with some nice green acrylic if you can find some
biggrin.gif
btw this looks awesome

oh and with the name something to do with venom or poison because of the green mesh?

No probs.

Re: the camera, megapixels don't mean much (it just calculates the resolutions of the images) make sure you're in a well light room (sun light or artificial lighting), have the camera set to the lowest possible ISO (like 800) and take the flash off. You should get nice clean pictures that way.

Just something I picked up from another forum.

Not sure if silver accents would look good or not

naw have 4 colors already white green blue and black blue may go away all depends on what she looks like once fully rebuilt. I have blue fans for the case atm. Thinking about changing them to green.

hmmmmmmm got me thinking instead of what I'm supposed to be doing lol. I'm liking vemon so far gotta toss it about and see what my brain lands on. but not sure about green acrylic. I know if I had not painted the mesh before I can already here everyone saying Storm Trooper lol
