Very nice mate :yumyum: Why the 1000W Ultra PSU?

Mainly because I wanted to test it and Ultra said no , but also because the modular connector system is totally lush :D

looking good Jim,But I would use your nice PSU tester on that PSU before I let it near anything, after the nice little debacle that ultra just pulled off

Would that be suing every PSU company under the sun..or something I've not heard about yet?

no,it would be the one where they stuck high rated stickers on the low models, like the 750's that were originally 500's.there are some nice threads about it on OCN and [H].you should be ok with that one though as it appears they are made by Anderson and not the iffy Wintech units, but its got to be worth checking if you have the gear

aint heard about that before. Thats nice of them.

Would be worse than sticking in a generic PSU

I was actually tempted by their 1600w unit just purely to see if it could 'do' that. My guessing is that it cant, but it would be interesting to see how close it can get.

Nasty tactics on the lower wattage models tho  No wonder they ignore requests for review samples.

iirc that 1600 is a monster and can do what is claimed of it,but I know that if you live in the US then you need a special line put in to cope with the draw otherwise it will only put out 1200w.

yeah got to admit that someone at ultra dropped the ball with regards to those other units but at least they are willing to make up for it,anyone who has a 750 can get a free upgrade to an 800(anderson unit

heres a couple of links for ya:
