Well to start off I have no idea when I will get this done, mostly going to be limited by funds.

Basically I am trying to build an uber leet pc, I know some of it is overkill, but that is the fun of it.

Case: Lian Li PC-343B

Motherboard: ?

Processor: ?

Ram: 2-4GB

Raid Controller: Areca 1220 8 port raid controller

Hard Disks: 4-8x>500GB

Optical Drives: SATA DVD+-RW SATA DVD-ROM

Well mostly dual boot, gaming, development system, file storage and maybe some rendering. I will be be listening to music and watching movies.

i posted about a raid controller in another thread if your interest. It's at a good prcie atm.

He's obviously not worrying too terribly much about cost if he's going with a PC-343B case, one of the most expensive cases you can buy, if not the most expensive. And that's just with the base configuration, you can easily sink another 150-200 in factory LiLi upgrade parts for it.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, been working on a friends pc for 3 days.

@ Bogel: I am going to use Intel if they perform better or AMD if they have taken the lead. It does include a video card, I just am waiting to see how the 2900xtx is.

@ Fragtek: Although money is not a big concern, I don't plan to waste money either. For most of the accesories I plan to make them my self.

@ Macgamersrule: How do the overclocks on the quadcores compare to dual cores. That is to some extent the deciding factor for me.

Ok after thinking about it I think I am going to go with water cooling for the CPU and graphics card(s). The best radiator from what I have read is the PA 120.3 I will be mounting that in one of the front bays, probably on the motherboard side. For the water blocks I might make them, what are the best blocks these days?

For fans I am thinking of going for Yate Loons, but I can't decide between the D12SM-12 or the D12SH-12. Do the D12SH-12's work well undervolted a tad? I will have at least 12 of these.

What pump(s) are the best, and an Iwaki is a bit to expensive so don't say that, haha.

Thanks in advance for all the help.
