Project: Flame Orange

Those are some nice goodies!

Hope those are white LED strips though ;)

Exactly what I was thinking... that's a freaking tonne of orange... hoping it doesn't turn into 'too much'.

Lol arguing with the Guv about paint/finish is like trying to ask Dice for mod tools, or trying to win an argument with a woman.. You aint gonna win that bro.

Regardless of what you think is proper behaviour you're still on his forums, and are trying to impress what could be considered to be a close knit family of people.. being abrasive with the guy who's giving advice wether you understood how it came across or not.. isn't going to get you any fans (orange or otherwise).

The guv says what he likes and he's earned the privilege of doing so, every one here (with some exceptions) respects him, his advice and his teachings. It's not because he's an overlord it's because he knows what the f**k he's talking about...

You'd do well to do the same.

I thought Tom meant the paint had peeled to but I can see what he means by the orange peel effect. Still, I'm sure this will turn out to be a nice build, especially for your first go.

+1 on this and hello dad :)

LED's are white :)

I'm happy with the rad finish to be honest, this is my first painting experience as well.

Better than my initial expectation anyway.

I bought the rest of my radiators today from OcUK.

Painting has already started.....

Even my tools match up with the colour scheme :) :)

Arty shot with the foreground out of focus and the background in focus lol...

The LED lights are going to be fitted to the underside of my motherboard, so they will shine out around the outside of it :)

I love the size of that case it's Huuuuuuuuge!! & the colour just pops very nice subbed I can wait to see this finished take your time it'll be epic!

Gotta admit though I'm with TTL on the paint take your time it'll be sooooo worth it in the end so much satisfaction can be had from a perfect finish.

A nice even base coat spray then light even coats of colour with a rubdown between coats, time and wet & dry goes along way to create a perfect finish.
Also if possible try to do it in a dust free and moisture free environment.

Dude that is not even freaking CLOSE to the same shade of orange and would not match AT ALL.. He'd do better to get something else and orange peel the cooler on it to match the rest of the build

I'm planning to get watercooled GPU's. Not sure what yet though.

I already have a GTX 680, I want to run dual cards. I think I should save for 2 x GTX 780s.

all that radspace without gpu's would be a COMPLETE waste.. so yes, cool a pair of cards
