Hi guys.
I am planning a refresh of my PC.
Well this time I'm going for something a little more unique

Thanks to Bitfenix for the LED strips and orange coloured cables
Mick from Mayhems has kindly provided me 2 large bottles of Orange fluid for the w/c.
A big thank you goes to Pascal at Aquatuning for sorting me out a great deal on the case. Well happy with it now
Thanks to Noise blocker for the support in the way of 20 x fans for my build
So firstly I got this PSU
And took the bugger apart, it wasnt easy to get into the unit, I needed pliers as some of the screws were buggers! Mind you, your not meant to take them apart.
I removed the Antec logo plate from the PSU, I intend to glue this back on once finished.
Next job was to primer the PSU frame... but first I celotaped the rear part of the PSU frame as that has the connection info printed on it, I wanted to keep that info.
Finally primer time
Test sample radiator next
Now the PSU panels have had an hour and half to dry (primer drys really quickly)
PSU put back together
sorry about the first pic
Test radiator is now finished and dry.
Antec tricool fans. stripped down and motor and bearings taped up and just sprayed the primer, waiting for it to dry then putting on the first layer of orange
Not really happy with either of these
May as well announce the case I've bought
http://www.ldcooling.com/shop/atx-hptx/46-ld-pc-v8-black-with-orange-interior.html
Case has arrived, its massive.... I have a bit of a problem, it doesnt fit under my desk and there is no room for it to go on top of my desk!!!
Well my PSU colour matches the rest of the orange in the case.
Just need to decide what do do with the cables now on the PSU.
I went to see RJKONEILL at OCUK. We discussed my build and I asked him for his expertise on his radiator knowledge.
I left with this.
Its a silver Aluminum framed AX480 rad from XSPC with a copper radiator.
My intention is to paint the frame orange, like my test rad, this frame actually is removable from the rad fins centre, so makes it much easier to paint too.
Thanks again RJK for the advise
Rad striped down.
First layer of primer is on and drying now.
Not bought the AX360 yet, just got the AX480 first to test the paint on
Also they only had 1 x AX480 left. I bought the last one, the AX360 they have loads of stock still
well the ends of the rad frame have been sprayed.
3 coats so far.
The main frame has had its first coat.
Oh and I bought this for once the orange layers are finished....
got my decent camera out
Well I have spoken to DemciFlex and they are making me some custom dust filters for this, looking forward to receiving them next week
