Project: Celtic Frost

ALMOST UP AND RUNNING! Put a few tuoches on it this morning before heading off to work, I now have the case bolted to the Vapo, ChillControl board installed and wired up, fan cables have been dealt with :)

I can't wait to post up some pix, this thing is just gorgeous, specially with all of the hidden cables, it's just awesome. :rocker:

Only things left to do:

-Mount evap to CPU (5 mins)

-Install AudioMax riser (15 seconds)

-Press power button and hope for a boot! :rocker:

@mark: Ya know what, I think I may have fixed the problem... Maybe someone can let me know if this will work or not. My LCD and the ChillControl USB cables are only a single row connector and I've connected both to a single internal usb header, one on top one on bottom. Each header is a dual channel header correct? In theory this should work and will leave me one complete header for the media card reader. I took the card reader out for now, and if my current USB wiring works then I'll throw it back in and get it plugged in.

In other news: Sold my MacBook Pro for $2500 on eBay, will ship out on Monday... *sniffles* Bye MBP, you shall be missed :( :wavey:

PIX COMING TONIGHT :D :D :D

:bornleet:

Yep, it'll work fine :) Throw in the card reader.

First Congrats on the sale:) Its always nice scoring extra cash close to the holidays (hint, hint)

Second yep you are right I have hooked 2 seperate devises to one USB header.

(arent you supposed to be able to run like 137 things off each connection?)

Thanks for that Nick and Mark, that's great! Unfortunately that's going to be one cablet that I can't route behind the tray as the cable is to short :( Oh well, at least I can use it!

*think* it was 127 addressable *theory* - BUT u have to watch the power usage. If the sum of all the devices is below 5v (I think) u can get away with it.

good thing I didnt say a million:D I knew it was a lot but didnt think about the voltage requirement on the mobo, thanks Rastalovich for that bit of info:beerchug:

Its so funny how opposite we are in our approach:D

That is one BIG ass comp! There is something about all alum that just looks so elegant.

That Popsicle in the first pict gave me chills, lol. Definately no Aquagate:)

(in my Crossfire I replaced the Aquagate with a hyper6+ and my temps dropped from 32C idle to 26C idle)

Excellent job.

PS: I really like how the Hdds are on their sides.

Thanks guys :D

Yeah looks like I've hit my wall on the AW9D-MAX, won't let me take her past 4ghz Orthos stable, can boot in @ 4.2 but wow this board just can't handle that. I even dropped my voltage to 1.7 so I have a bit of extra when I find a mobo more suited to some higher FSB's :D

That is sick! Do you get any special treatment being part of the elite 4GHz club?

Nice work on the project, very clean - makes me want to do something... Is 4 the limit? Or is there more to be had?!
