Project : BMPC -> Questions

Ok most of you probably know it by now and here we go for the first stage :

The program will have 2 Modes :

Advanced User

Home User

In these modes you will answer different questions which bring you to your best system.

So what do we need ? easy we need questions. Because the program will start out with the Home User i need you guys to think about questions that the user is asked to answer. Please keep in mind you are speeking to a PC Noob.

The questions schouldnt be more then 20.

Just post them in the right order please. Thanks -> Everyone who helps even in this small survey will be mentioned on the webpage.

Some Q's i thought of (This is the format you schould write your ideas in)

What would you use your PC For mostly ?

- Office Applications (MS Office etc.)

- Media Applications (DVD Station etc.)

- Gaming station

- Server Station (HTTP Servers etc.)

heres what happens in the background for each of them :

-> choose Intel processor and Intel Board. Choose low GFX Card. Choose fast HD

-> choose Region free and fastr DVD Burner. Quiet Fans and HD. Low graphic card.

-> choose AMD Processor. choose fast GFX Card. Choose 1 Gb of ram, choose fast HD

-> choose fast Hd. choose 512 MB RAM

Depending on what the user chose he will get to the next question.

- a lot - loads of room

- some room - but not too much

- not too much space

- very little space

What look do you like with your PC?

- outragiously funky. Manga style

- kind of far out - loud but not OTT

- understated

- blands in with office stuff

i think the option for "extreme computer" and get a high SD or FX or dual core.

what about noise?

will you overclock it? ( to choose cooling and ram )

what hdd capacity do you think you will need?

do you need a dvd rw?

Do you want any accessories like fan controllers and stuff?

what about sound system? (headphones or speakers )

what about space for your monitor? ( tft or crt )

will you want to see tv on it ? ( tv tuner )

would you like to hear some serious sound?? ( a good soundcard )

i like the noise one - great idea

also the tv one is good.
