Programs for my new pc

What programs do you all recommend using to keep my new pc (when its built) in top notch condition? I have nod32, not sure which spyware program/s is/are the best

Do you use registry cleaners? If so which?

Which firewall do you recommend? Preferably free but if its worth it

Tell me the overclock3d elite list of programs not screwing this one up

CCleaner, Avast, Sygate Personal Firewall, Spybot S & D, Ad-Aware.

i already have nod32 so i don't need avast, i have ccleaner, spybot and adaware - that all i'll need?

IIRC, there's a sticky containing a good list of apps/utils in the software section. I'm too looking for a good firewall. I'm trialling ZoneAlarm Pro at the mo. Still not sure about it. After 30 days it reverts to the free one so nothings lost. It's sad I find the norton one has very little user input required to keep it running. I impressed with the efficiency and speed of NOD32 compared with Norton Anti-virus.

Also testing Everest Ultimate at the mo and I think it's pretty cool.

Sygate Personal Firewall is a great firewall with a lot of customization. A networking/security junkies favorite. It can also be used for the everyday user. I seriously recommend it.

remember less is sometimes more. overloading your computer with too many programs wont do it any good
