Problems with new built rig ;(

Hey guys I've just recently built my new rig last week and I'm having problems with it already. Seeing that I'm new to the whole pc world I'm not sure what to do, everytime I play one of my games it either crashes the game and all sound is lost when this happens as well or it goes straight to BSOD. The games that have this happened to so far is WoW, Diablo 3, Final fantasy 14, and Shogun 2.

My Specs are..

Corsair AX850

Asrock Z77 Fatal1y Professional Mobo

I5 -3570k

Corsair 8GB 2133mhz

Asus DC2 Gtx 670

Force GT 240 gb

windows 7 64bit proff

h100 cooler

The only thing I've tried is Scandisk the SSD for corrupt files all came back good, and I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for the Gtx 670..

Any help will be greatly appriciated.. Thanks guys..

no I havent done any overclocking everything is still at factory settings

have you gone to the manufacturers website for your GPU and Motherboard and

downloaded they're most recent drivers?? or did you just use the disks they provided?

because the disks(drivers), especially with your mobo could be MONTHS old. Not so much

with the 670 but i'd still do it if i were you.

The only think I can think of is the RAM voltage, I read somewhere that Ivy Bridge doesn't like higher RAM voltages other than that everything seems normal so it could be something in the software side.

welcome to the forum sleepy_bird,

like Lys0l was aluding to, check your BIOS for RAM settings. verify the voltage on what is set and what

the RAM manufacturers specification. if the 2133 stting is correct try setting it for 1833 with a lil less volt,

What model of ram do you have. that mobo only supports one model of 2133mhz ram

If it's not the RAM it sounds like it could be a power issue. Reseat all your power cables and make sure you haven't mistaken a PCI-E power cable as the 8 pin CPU power cable.

Thanks to all of you guys for the replies, I dropped the RAM volts down a bit and it seems to have fixed the problem. If the problem starts again down the road I will then look at the other options... Thanks again to all of you guys are all my saviors haha
