PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil 13

4x 8pins isn't as bad as it seems, the max TDP of a Hawaii is ~300W without overvolting. A single 290X has 2x8pin so 4x8pin isn't out of the ordinary, it just means each core has full amount of power available to it.
Also, the cards only pull what they need to pull, having 4x 8pin wont automatically make it use more power, it just means there is more power available if needed.

As for cooling, I'm not to sure but that is one hefty heatsink with three pretty big fans on it. I wouldn't of thought PowerColor would bother making a beast of a card if it couldn't perform. Only time will tell though, i'll be looking forward to seeing how it does anyway.

Well obviously but its an Overclocking model from what they show it as so when pushing it to the limits the 4 8pins are really gonna pull some power... i doubt this card will ever max the chips out before the cooler gives though.. guess it don't matter then.

Well yeah when you overclock it, my point was that just because it has 4 8pins doesn't mean it will use more power at stock just because it has 4 8pins.
Obviously it will pull more power if you overclock it, the same with all GPUs. It has 4 8pins so it can deliver the full amount of power to each core. Unlike the the standard 295x2 which shares 2 8pins per core. And as I said the cards only pull what they need, they don't pull more than they need to.

As for the cooler, who knows? All of the non ref coolers apart from Asus cool 290s really well. The heatsink on this card is huge and it has three massive fans on it, I don't think temps will be low but I don't think they will be a problem either.

Holy heck, that is the most disgusting backplate i've ever seen.

Couldn't agree with you more, If they slapped a fresh dog pile on it, It might improve it's looks.

I see what you mean it does appear to be a touch flimsy looking, especially considering the 3 card width and the weight of that heatsink. I would have thought they'd have gone for a more substantial plate over ugly aesthetics.

It'll be unveiled at computex. Looks much better, also it comes with ALOT of stuff.
The card also comes with PowerColor’s custom cooling solution, which is in the form of three fans stuck on top of an aluminium fin stack. PowerColor mentions that the fans feature a new double blade system, which it will demo at Computex next week. We’ll be there on hand to check out the card in detail, but considering earlier iterations of the “Devil” branded cards, this will be available in limited numbers and will be priced quite high.
If you’re interested, you’d be advised to hold off on buying a gaming mouse, as the Razer Ouroboros is bundled with the card.

Some benches from a review.
