Power Issue

Hey guys, hoping I can get a little bit of help having issues powering on my rig. The issue is ether the motherboard or the power supply. My rig has been fine for a long time since 2011 and have had no issues. The issue is my rig can take longer than usual to power on or wont power on at all unless I switch the PSU OFF and ON then it powers on right away with no issues. It's not a faulty case power switch because my motherboard has an on-board power button and makes no difference. Before my rig always powered on right away when pressing the power button as normal but now it takes a long time or dosen't power up at all unless I switch the PSU OFF and ON. When it does power on it boots and posts correctly as always and functions normally for hours can game and do intensive tasks with no issue.

Sounds to me like it might be time for a new psu, if you want to be doubely sure you can pick up a power supply tester pretty cheap from an online pc store and if it passes then you can look at the board

Also you can do the paper clip test to test your psu if you look on corsair's website they have a guide how to do it just make sure your psu has no other components plugged in
