Postal service should go on strike more often !

Had cause to launch an RMA for a GTX280 with Scan last week.

After getting permission from XFX, Scan issued the RMA return details, and seeing as I was shopping friday evening, I figured I'd post it then.

.. Monday morning I get an email from Scan saying they've received it. Looking up the details, they've not only done that, but they've tested it too and the call is w8ing on XFX. (probably to send a replacement covered in black tape off the shelf / covered in dust etc).

Looking at the sales site; the 280 is void of listings ofc, the 285 is listed - but only 1 or 2 makes actually in-stock. Even the 295 is only showing a few cards.

Appart from the 250/220, there seems to be one heck of a shortage. @ Scan anyways.

But err... strike... backlog... over the weekend delivery ?

I mean, all things being equal, if a card crapped the bed friday morning; u spoke to them friday and got rma details; posted friday night; monday the thing is tested; by that afternoon it'd be shipped by courier - tuesday u'd have ur replacement. - that's pretty damn good imo.

Kudos to Scan and XFX on the service to this point also btw.

that is some good going.

Wish royal mail would sort it out. If they keep striking, they'll have nothing to go back too.

A: its all the temps in there not having time to play postal rugby with our kit.

B: its caus all the useless idiots are stood outside the front gates with special brew rather than loosing our post.

Sack them all and hire new staff - Simple.

I've always found Scan to be an amazing company when it comes to RMA. Swift, and very accomodating. One of the main reason that I use them tbh. What's the point in having a reasonable price if you get grief on the returns?

Yes I know I shouldn't assume I have to return something, but if it's made on a friday by the YTS kid I've brought it.
