Pexon aren't great at responding to emails I've found. I also had a cable that was DOA that they never did anything about. They regretted that and were sorry, but I wouldn't rate Pexon ridiculously highly. I'd shop with them again, but it would be nice to shop with someone else.

I must have contacted him about five times over the years. It's not how you do business, IMO. But then hey, that is for him to decide I guess. If he can succeed doing only the jobs he feels like doing then fair play to him, but that usually isn't how it works.

PMed him here twice. Emailed him three times. He blatantly ignored me, as a few days later he posted about having this sponsor or something. Some kind of business deal and was advertising it on various forums. TBH I've not seen hide nor hair of him in ages. Last time I saw him was when he was telling me how crap my keyboard was.

Oh and for the record I would not use Shakmods ever again either (and haven't since the incident). I asked him about making a full custom set of cables for an ITX build I did. He quoted me £75. I sent off the cables to him and etc and then when they were done he tells me it is actually £85, plus return postage. He had my cables and my cash, so I paid him vowing never to use him ever again. And I haven't, and I won't either.
I told him exactly what PSU it was and what I wanted. That is the typical scam trick most computer repair places used to use. Quote one price, then once they have your stuff and your money it increases. Now IDK whether he misquoted me originally but he should be professional and know what it is he is quoting, not throwing out random numbers that are subject to change. Either you swallow the loss and keep your customer happy, or blatantly take the p**s and demand more money. He decided on the latter, what a silly boy.
He got his extra £17 or whatever it was, but I must have spent £300 since on extensions and cables and have deliberately avoided him. So he lost in the long run. Same with Scan. Decided to break the law and charge me a restocking fee and return postage, never bought a single item from them ever again. And that was a bad move, considering I spend about six grand a year on computers.

I'd also heard bad things about sharkmods, so I started researching in to alternatives and found these. It's just one guy doing it as a part time thing, but the quality and service is outstanding

I might have a chat with To The Wire (great name by the way; a lot better than Pexon PCs. 'Pexon' is a cool word, but following it with 'PC' ruins it) when it's time to redo my cables in a few months. I've checked his work out on Facebook and it looks to be solid.

He's a nice guy. I tried to make him some banners etc but my photoshop skills were lost (bloody pills I was on). But yeah, listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. I gotta admit, they don't look so hot ATM because I clearly forgot to rearrange the combs but they are very clean cables. I could make them as good, but I would need to do what he does and have all of the wire, pins, crimping tools etc. It is very easy if you have that. Me? I usually have to depin or make the wires myself from scrap PSUs. So I didn't want the faff (I took the faff on Dianoga, though).
I really need to be in the mood for cable braiding. It is a very long and laborious process and you need to really be in the groove. Sometimes when I am fighting hoses and fittings etc I just CBA

Bought a used desk from Ebay in excellent condition, the Ikea Bekant 120x80cm non-motorized version. 65cm height makes such a huge difference in my comfort.
I use my tripod as a foot rest LOL. and yes, I removed the front panel for my Define S and have it like that 24/7 because the airflow is being choked by the side vents.
Also, bought a used 250GB Samsung SSD for a couple of my games and Lightroom/Premiere Pro Projects relatively cheap. Only 1.1TBW. Arrived yesterday.

Good old Ikea desks. Very few other places offer a decent work space. My brother and I mused about going into business making custom desks for people because we saw how empty the market was for that.
Just bought the next few items on my build list.
Two of these to start with, Haven't decided whether additional storage will be onboard in DIMM.2 slots, or in a small NAS.
Overkill, but very efficient, quiet, and I should be able to stay under duty cycle 99% of the time.
I didn't even know 14-14-14-34 timings were available in decent speed DDR4.

On a side note I just ordered 3 x more Corsair HDRGB fans for push/pull on the H150i Pro, Will only give maybe 1'c better temps but this is mainly for the aesthetics and lighting, Will be a total of 9 x Corsair HDRGB fans in my rig all controlled via a Corsair Link Commander Pro, 6 x on the CP and 3 attached to the H150i Pro for power with lighting being done by a 2nd Corsair RGB Fan Hub connected to the LED portion/connector of the CP to control lighting

Can't believe how light those forks are. They are about half the weight of the Landing Gear I removed. God I can't wait for warmer weather. Knowing my luck I will push out my legs as fast as they can go and I'll crash lmao.
Much better complimentary colour forks to the previous chrome ones (even if it was original). Looks good.
Still not a fan of the rims though

The forks on there were SE Racing landing gear. Expensive forks, but not anything like the Bombshells (LG are around £100 RRP, Bomshells are £250+). The bike *should have* GT Olympic spec forks on. They are 100% carbon, and the steerer tube is 1-1/8 at the top tapered down to 1.5" at the bottom. It is the only bike to use those forks and was 2012 Olympic spec. As you can imagine though, this brought on a headache.. But Hope was restored because Hope UK do an adaptor for £8.
You can't really rate a set of wheels on the colour, fella. That was unimportant. What was important was getting the killer wheels on there that it deserves, and I've done that (colour be damned).
