Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I watched a video by an ex government official who used to work at some type of tax office, Can't remember the exact title, But he said tax is basically legalised theft akin to mafia mob protection money, If you don't pay it the government will send people to your home to take your things and then eventually you get put into a small container, Prison cell, For a few years.

I disagree. Taxes need to be paid in order to improve the society. The problem we have in this and age is taxes get taken for nothing and at least in America, most of it goes to the military which is fine, but the rest? Who f'in knows.

The problem is it is not an option and that is immoral.

I am getting money taken off me by some fatcat against my will, Taxation is theft.

That's the privilege of living in a 1st world country. In order to maintain that level of living everybody has to pitch in to maintain and improve it.
So it is an option. You don't have to live in a 1st world country. It's not theft if it's being used for good and generally speaking it does.

If you took taxes away everything would fall apart.

Taxation helps pay to keep me alive. If taxes didn't exist, I wouldn't be able to afford to live. My psychology appointments alone would cost thousands let alone the disability allowance payments, medication, and psychiatry appointments. I understand why someone would think taxation is theft, but it's a necessary part of life. I don't always agree with the rates we are charged in what specific areas of life—and I most certainly don't agree with who is taxed more than others—but there is ample evidence to show the value in taxation. Even the Bible agrees that taxes are necessary. "Pay Caesar's things to Caesar."

There are papers I've seen talking about how, in the absence of government, rational, morally upright people will invest in individual institutions that serve the communities needs. But to me that's basically just much smaller governments ran like businesses. There are issues to that; positives definitely, but issues as well.

One of the problems with taxes is that a huge amount of it is spent on actual crap, A large chunk of it gets pocketed by legal criminals and a tiny amount gets spent on the actual system.

A good example of this is the local town hall is a VERY ugly glass cube, Cost over 100 million to build only 2 or so years ago and it's now being given to a private firm, For free, Billions in the UK are wasted every year, Not just on crap like building that are given away to private companies but also on giving millions every year to directors of jobs that only require them to turn up once a day for maybe an hour, It's beyond stupid.

Well I most certainly don't put any stock into a book about a middle eastern religion, Everything that comes from the middle east is chaos and lunacy.

That aside, If I had the chance to go live a life in the wilderness in the middle of nowhere, Hunt, Build etc....I would do so, I'm sick of the nanny state breathing down my neck wanting money from me all the while giving money away to the corrupt and passing new laws to protect the corrupt, We're getting closer and closer to 1984.

Which is why I said earlier the problem with taxes isn't taxes themselves but how it's used.

I have nothing against tax. Its just how it is done in DK.
The system is sick. Totally ed.

The first 1500€ or so i earn are tax free. The amount is variable. Mine is high do to own money, and driving 68km to get to work. For every km above 12km you get a tax reduction.
Then i pay 39% in tax
Then 8% in "labor market contribution" (started in 1994 to help pay for benefits because the unemployment was really high. Its not high anymore)

If you earn more than 6000€ a month, you pay 15% extra of the amount above 6000.
Then the VAT is 25% on EVERYTHING :(
Cars 150%
Tax on sucker, nuts, almonds. Not just the raw stuff, also when it is a ingredient.
It just goes on and on.

True Christianity was never a middle-eastern specific religion. In fact, it was the polar opposite. "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations." Certain Christian denominations believe God is only for straight white men of certain descent, but they aren't using Scriptures when they say that.

Originally there were Scriptures written that talk about how Jerusalem was God's chosen city and Israel his chosen people, but its locality was just a place chosen at random (as far as we can tell) and his chosen people changed as time went on due to humans being so fallible. Ultimately the idea of Christianity is that it began in one place, but only because that's where Jesus was born. He has to be have been born somewhere; it just so happened that he was born in Israel. Christianity has spread since then. The world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses, for example, is now in New York. And in many countries there are large buildings dedicated to JW's. There's a new one being built right now in London. It's an epic place from what I've seen. They're called Bethels, which when translated from Hebrew (or possibly Greek, I can't remember), means 'House of God'.

I've been to Israel and I thought it was remarkably sane and held together well. This is purely anecdotal, but they seemed very organised. Tel Aviv had this 'bubble' surrounding it where it felt like nothing from the Gaza Strip or anywhere else further South affected them. Ignorance is still ignorance, but it's blissful. Nonetheless, I have a lot of respect for many of the eastern nations, and that's irrelevant of my religious beliefs. I just think they've endured a lot. They've all done horrific things, but so have the British.

I don't know how well I'd do being a hermit fending for myself in the middle of nowhere. I think I'd be able to do it with a family like in the film Captain Fantastic, but I don't think I'd be able to do it on my own.

That's insane, You basically have to work half your life to just pay taxes that get spent on immigrants, People who refuse to work and some very loony lefty art crap who for some reason get huge grants from the government, At least in Germany.

I know many people who are ex JW and ALL have called it a cult with some really sick stuff that goes on behind closed doors that scars people mentally for life.

I'm actually going to Israel next year as I have a fair few friends in Tel Aviv and the surrounding areas who have invited me over, Plus my irish ancestors were Jews who fled from spain a few hundred years ago so it will be interesting to learn more about that.

The rest is avoided, null and void because people like Trump know all the loop holes and how to skip paying a penny! :D

But anyway, Norway has similar tax policy just not as extreme. Also if you can prove that you have owned a car for a considerable time e.g. someone like me who moved to norway from UK and imported my car, then you can pay a fixed import fee and thats it.

Otherwise its like 220kr per 1BHP of the car engine power I think. (Approx £20 per 1bhp). And then you have a plethora of other taxes on top of that. There was a shambles of a loop hole though. You could buy a car overseas, remove the engine, and then import it as an incomplete car for a miniscule fraction of the total taxation. Nissan were doing this with their Skyline range some years back as it was quite popular here. And perfectly legal too until it was changed.

How many real Jehovah's Witnesses do you know? Have you ever sat down with one over a cup of coffee and learned about the Bible's teachings and listened to their sides of the story? Did you find them to be immoral people? I imagine the JWs you do know are probably normal lads and lassies doing normal things, trying to live their life to a high moral standard without secrecy or lies. There's 8.5 million of them globally and all of the ones I know personally (in the hundreds) are loving, kind, morally sound people.

Compare that to the small minority who lambaste ignorantly—similar to the people you call 'feminazis'. Like 'feminazis', the loudest people are usually the most ignorant. I imagine you'd agree with that. I've seen some of the horrible things humans have done who claim to be JWs, and I've seen how harmful their actions have been to others. But they aren't Jehovah's Witnesses or represent Jehovah. Like steroid-induced bodybuilders don't represent the entire community of bodybuilders; like angry 12-year-old cheaters don't represent the entire PUBG community; like 18-year-old lads who just passed their driving test and drive their mates into a lamp post and kills two of them don't represent all young drivers; like anything really, there are going to be bad eggs. But they are not representative of the greater teachings or purposes. Ultimately, if you want to learn the truth about the tallest building in the world, you don't just talk to one plasterer.

I generally despise all religion as it's fairy tales for adults so I don't want to sit down and talk to someone about their imaginary friends in the clouds and the cult they belong to, As I said, I know a fair few ex-JW's and all have said behind closed doors some really disturbing things go on that tend to mess people up for life.

Best we not derail the purpose of this thread anymore though.

Dice, you're my brother from another mother. :D

But to keep this on topic, my last purchase hasn't shipped yet, but I'm so horny for it I'm about to explode. Ordered some very expensive HOTAS mounts from Germany (MonsterTech). My HOTAS cost less than $200. These mounts are almost $400. But they'll save my shoulders, so they're worth it to me. Now if only they would ship!!

If you're not willing to talk then there's no point in talking, right? I can only defend the truth about something when someone actually wants to hear it. And it's a human freedom to not want to listen. You said yourself you think society is screwed up and is beyond repair. But if you did ever fancy chatting about this, shoot me a PM.

The custom cables for my build just arrived from To The Wire :D Can't wait to finally get everything assembled!

They look really nice. Haven't ever heard of that company before. I've been looking for somewhere in the UK that'll do good custom cables for when I finally get the scratch together to water-cool my rig. May I ask what his prices are like?
