Holy balls. Bought a cheap adapter so I could play around with some old Minolta Rokkor macro lenses I had around.

I'm impressed but can't think of subjects to take macro photos of.

Very small flowers and insects tend to be good subjects for macro and you can also get some great bokeh portraits with a macro lens

Now that I am sinking 5+ hours a day into Fallout 4 I really fancied a decent surround headset. I used to have the most awesome Turtle Beach one and it cost a fortune RRP. Something daft like £200. HPA50? something like that. It had its own amp and you could adjust each channel and the sub etc. It was also painfully loud, which I enjoy a lot.

Then one day after several years one of the channels on the amp started playing up, and eventually I lost sound to the left ear

I used to love that thing so much. Especially as it gave a lot of ambience to Fallout 3 that you just don't get without it.

So yeah, taken the plunge. the fact it's its own entity is appealing too, just another sound device for me to switch. Easy peasy.

I got it for a good price on OCUK. So that was my reasoning. The one I wanted was £250 so this @ £159 was in between the other one I was looking at (Strix Wireless return on Amazon for £72), but I hate charging stuff.

I ordered a new monitor stand today, I don't know too much about the company that makes these stand but it looks like they are Australian Made but not sure.

Brilliant, Tested with some well burned in 770's and 990's, Best internal soundcard I've used yet

Be interested to see a photo of that sound card without the coveralls on it... Creative went to pot with the last series of cards, I'm wondering if they're still playing software mode or have actually put some hardware on the card...

Yeah, they're in bit of a short supply here at the moment.

But hardware is a fun target as well.

I know my Tit has them and you can swap them. At least I am sure they do.. *checks*

Yup. A lot of people switched those. Said the mid and high end was too bright. TBH? I might have considered it but I have a D2X which has the more bass heavy OPamps, so the change is nice.

Yep that's the one, The board is pretty packed, Which is good to see, Definitely on par with the STXII and slightly ahead in some areas
