Fractal Design

Ahh yeah, Brain fart ^_^

I like Fractal but from what I've seen they don't have 2 chambered cases like the 240, Plus the 240 and 540 are actually really good cases, If fractal made a 2 chambered case though I would get one of them as they seem to be a bit better at dampening sound.

I love chambered cases as well. I'm pretty positive my next build will be in the Jonsbo W2. Small and sexy, but fits everything I need. It has a similar layout to the AIR 540, but it's a lot smaller and less cubical.

Chambered cases? Never understood that fad. Doesn't even change anything except make cases that already are rather large into larger ones... I mean who needs all that mesh anyway? A simple design like a Define C gets the job done like a dual chamber case but more compact and looks cleaner.
I know it is preference, but man never understood it the point of those.

Regarding TX, you picked a good place to move to for 12 months(I plan on moving there after Uni). Just hope you like Trump. That state is of one the most right you can get:p (right meaning the right wing/conservatives if you didn't know)

err Dice, if you are going to america, buy your parts from there. UK is more expensive. Plus im sure you have better availability and options there.

Happened to be in Stoke today so popped into Overclockers.

Nice new desk/mouse pad to replace my tired old, small Razer Goliathus mouse mat.

Not much for me this month. Lady's birthday is tomorrow (yeah, I've already done the "you're not getting anything... April fools !") so that cost me a few quid. I am now officially saving money (you heard it here first) and so on. So any way, I bought my regular vaping supplies (for like two to three months because of a sale I found) and a used NAS from another forum.

This thing launched a couple of months ago.

For £50. However, it's pretty clear who they stole their design from so shortly afterward the case vanished from all retailers. I was poking around on OCUK B grade earlier and noticed it was £19.99 with free DPD, so I grabbed it. My aim is to do a nice cheap mod (using some really nice fans I have) to rebox the NAS to give it better (and quieter) cooling. I have heard all sorts of horror stories about the NAS I bought being very loud and obnoxious. Obviously I will mod it. I don't think I dig the window either so I will probably repaint both side panels either silver or black.

I got a switch for £6.50 inc on Amazon down from a tenner.

And my rotary tool will be coming out of retirement for a bit :)

The 7700K I ordered for my MATX build never materialized so I changed my order and decided to support the red team :)

1800X, Still have to wait on an MATX mobo I like the look of though.

I reckon I'll stick with Ryzen for quite sometime especially considering AMD are supporting AM4 for quite some time so I won't need to buy a new mobo when next years CPU's come out :)

I was just taking a jab:)
or is that the wrong way to say that expression? Lol

But yeah, just buying a new CPU, makes life easier. Means you can spend more on a CPU instead of less because of a motherboard. Or save that money and put it towards another GPU, which let's face it, you'll do;) lol

I used to <3 Kef, the speakers sound-wise are great. But the eggs I bought had a weird satin-finish silicon based paint and it breaks down and turns into what can best be described as.. well... a thin layer of Road Tar.. :( They get SUPER sticky and can't be used without cleaning. And you need to use some proper Cancer-inducing fluids to get that off. I've cleaned 3 and suffered from respiratory issues after so haven't bothered with the other 4 yet :(

Ended up getting some second hand 2-and-a-half-way floorstanders by them for the living room, they'll do for now :)

Hmm interesting SuB. I'll see what happens and update you if I get any issues like that. Glorious sound though :D
