Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I traded in more change and added a little to get a laptop. It is a Lenovo 300-17isk. Hard to sit at my desk very long anymore, bothers my back and legs. Now I can recline. It is shared with my mom so she can play cards.

Nice laptop, just make sure you nuke the install and install your own.

I'm going to do that. I am a Microsoft Partner thanks to a friend. He has his own programming business writing apps and support software for POS software he wrote for a company. We are old friends and he asked me to be an "employee" which all I am is a back up for him if he has any issues, I have access to everything, his pages on Faceebook and so on. My "pay" for just being there is the MS membership, I get free MS software. I can download Win 10 pro, the MS Office suite and much more for free.

Wicked :)

I like Lenovo's laptops but they have done some naughty stuff recently.

I just got one for free at work when they were forced to switch to a horrid HP laptop. Company new contract etc.

Most of the lenovo were donated to a school but some left over were given away. Can't complain. its an ivy bridge i7 which pleases me.

Bought another. Have one on my desktop, use this on my laptop. Unified wireless with the mini fob. I've used this style Logitech Marble since they came out with the wired one. I still have that one with the red marble, I just quit using it when I got the first wireless model. Have that one too. Then moved to these blue marble unified wireless.

Nice. Once I bought the Audio-GD amplifier I found myself having no drive to look into anything else ever again.

This DAC is most likely my endgame unless I can find a Schiit multibit DAC for cheap, which I probably won't anytime soon:P
The AMP however, I will upgrade if I have an urge or my needs change like adding a stereo to my system:)

If you buy power amp you can use the headphone amp as a pre amp any way dude.

In fact I have one amp running into another one to create the best sound for me. Pre out of the Dot II into the Graham Slee. One is warm the other the most neutral amp money can buy so I just love the sound I get out of them :)

Ok so after watching Toms review and some faffing around I managed to get some dosh together for a new monitor.

You're F'n mad Dice there's no way i would have pay $400 more when comparing this to the X34.

I have look at the spec for both, To me the X34 is the better choice and also your not paying the "ASUS Tax".

I thought you said you weren't going to be buying another ASUS monitor.

Ah ASUS knows how to suck people in i'm sorry but it's true.

The Asus is on offer for the exact same price as the X34.

Asus - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...en-curved-led-monitor-black-re-mo-089-as.html

Acer - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...e-zeroframe-curved-led-monitor-mo-109-ac.html

I tried ultrawide at a local shop and wanted 1 but having heard multiple horror stories from the Acer and nothing but good things from the Asus one I decided on that.

Also spec wise they are both exactly the same panel but it seems Acer has QC issues.

Having owned one of Acer's very expensive monitors it's safe to say their high end stuff is no different to their crap. Honestly not being rude but I wouldn't buy one with Jayz' cash. That's how poorly it was made etc.

Their warranty is also total pants.

That's not the case here dude the ASUS is $400! more, ASUS can go and get stuffed i'm not paying $400 more for a product when there the same.

I know people don't use built in monitor speakers but i do, ACER has mopre wattage for those speakers.

To me ACER nail the design where ASUS made a ugly looking monitor.

Acer Predator X34 Curved 34in G-Sync IPS Gaming Monitor $1299.00
ASUS PG348Q ROG Swift 34in 100Hz G-Sync IPS Gaming Monitor $1779.00

When i checked earlier it was $400 more. Now it's $480 more screw ASUS.
