Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

My pre-order for Anno 2205 arrived today, right on time :)

anno_2205_01.jpg

I know, pre-ordering an Ubisoft game, but for this I made an exception. Shame I'm out tonight, the stars and the moon will have to wait!

You wasn't the only 1 I'm enjoying it so far but no random map generation I've seen so far unless it unlocks later

Got these for my 3rd system, Kingston 8GB Kit of 2 Fury Black 1600MHz

I was looking at the invoice i don't think i will buy anything more from this company

"15% restocking fee will be charged on returning or cancelling a standard order with prior approval obtained. 50% restocking fee might be charged on returning or cancelling specifically procured items or custom orders with prior approval obtained."

Any opinions on 2205 then?

Should I take the plunge and grab a copy myself?

If you are expecting a newer version of 2070 then probably not it's had changes, the production lines aren't as complicated there no building ships to transport from 1 island to another, no random generated maps, no enemies where your building.

You start off in the temperate zone pick your start location out of 3 go through the missions and open the artic zone again pick your spot out of 3 and then go to the moon and have 3 locations, once you get enough credits you can buy the other locations you didn't start in. the production buildings start as 1 building that can be upgraded if you have enough rare resources these can be built on any island there no islands that can only grow X, as usual the population have needs to upgrade to the next level not all there needs can be produced in a zone so you need to build in the different zones to get all the needs met. Rare resource though you can't produce them they can be got by side missions (orange Stars or dots) on your map or doing battles from the strategy map.

Now that being all said I got my copy from G2play with the season pass for £36 for that price for me yes it's well worth getting I've enjoyed playing it so far I haven't unlocked everything yet because I'm learning the in's and out's. for the full price my opinion no game should cost that much.

My concerns are there's only 9 areas to play (more coming in DLC) to start and that once you have mastered what's the best layout how much replay value is going to be in there, how much DLC and cost Hoping the season pass cover more than just the first 2 :)

So if my thoughts on the game sound good to you then maybe it's worth it, if not then maybe not.

P.S always my suggestion is to see some YT video's to get an idea (NSN does an reasonable overview). think this is the longest thing I have typed in a long time

The yanks do that too. Thankfully it's all completely illegal in the UK.

Greenback has summed it really. Some new things I like - the transition from day to night is nice, Anno 2070 didn't have this. The economics and balance of manpower takes a bit of getting use to, the combat is enjoyable, but I'll have a period of adjustment moving from 2070.

One big "Day 1" pity is that it doesn't support SLI out of the box. One 980Ti oc'd to 1380Mhz struggles a bit at 1600p with all settings on ultra and the MSAA cranked up. I have faith in both Nvidia and Blue Byte (whosoever job it is) that SLI will be supported soon.

I've been using ear plugs lately. Only need to put one in though as I use feather pillows and they are great at blocking out sound.

My upstairs neighbour can be noisy. Not his fault he just has a really boomy sounding voice.

I'm a really light sleeper as well to be honest, the slightest noise wakes me up.
I find since using earplugs i'm getting a much better nights sleep and I feel more rested.

Move over Corsair, you've got competition :). Been after these for a while now -

Klevv Genuine 2400MHz DDR3, 32GB of it :

RAM so nice I think they need another picture ..

I've found that I've been needing more than 16GB of RAM lately and it was either get another set of Dominator Platinum's or the above and punt the Doms. Guess what I decided :). I don't see myself moving to a new motherboard, CPU and thus to DDR4 for a year or more so I'm happy with this.

Looking forward to seeing these in my latest build :).

Sadly it doesn't enable SLI. I've tried manually setting AFR1 and AFR2 but does diddly squat. Judging from the bugs being reported on the Anno forum the developers are either on 'game release induced vacation' or are busy fixing other game breaking issues.

Wow some one actually has some of that memory ! good going :D

Cheers, they are too rare aren't they?! The timings are a bit looser than the Dom Plats (11-13-13 compared to 10-12-12) but I'll be testing to see if I can run them at the tighter timings and what speed I can get them up to :).

I don't like it but I can see why business can get frustrated when they have to purchase stock, store it, sell it, ship it, and then three months later when new items are out having to take back returns because people 'just don't like it' and having to then sell the item at a discount price.

That being said - the restocking fees being charged are exorbitant. I think Kushiro?? was saying they got charged somewhere around a 25% restocking on a 980Ti or similar? Crazy rip off..

There has to be a balance between protecting the consumer and allowing business to operate. The UK laws look awesome for consumers. Look at how the 970s were able to be sent back however in Aus we couldn't. Swifts with one or two dead or stuck pixels etc.

I'm all for consumer protection erring on the side of caution and the side of the consumer but this does come at a cost to the business which is ultimately passed on to all consumers.

Got myself one of these few days ago, trying to give up smoking, smoking i can give up but the habit of action its a pain...so next best thing apparently

Thanks for the info both. I always had Bluebyte high on my respect list when it came to games. After all, they made the settlers! I'm still waiting for the next one, and hooked on SettlersVII

Once I have my next PC build up, ill pick it up on G2Play, since I do not feel the full price is worth it.
