I know mate, tried cold turkey before but it didn't work :(

Only had it a couple of days and have worked out that i am now smoking less on this than on the ordinary ones. Was on 20 a day, now works out about 10-15.

Hopefully by the end of next week i will be on the lowest strength then 2 weeks after that not at all :)

At the end of the day you're still taking in drugs, I was a smoker from 14-24, I quit overnight because my aunt died of lung cancer due to smoking and it really woke me up, I turned to fitness instead of taking in drugs and now I'm in the best shape of my life, Healthier than anyone I know and my lung capacity is awesome.

The very smell of smoke now makes me feel physically ill and I even tried a smoke about 1 year ago, I took 1 drag, Went green, Had cold sweats, Started shaking and then threw up, Man should simply not smoke ^_^

Oh and I just bought myself a 2nd WD Caviar Black 4TB HDD for a total of 1 x 2TB Caviar Black and 2 x 4TB Caviar Blacks :)

my old projector died. and my spare one needs polarising filters which i cant seem to buy any more which is a reall shame because its a very good projector.
so i bought a new projector.
Its not great. native resolution is only 640x480, usually i try and get atleast 800x600 or preferably 1024x768 native. but they can get really expensive.

i have had similar projectors with the lower native resolutions before and 640x480 is the least that allow you to watch a 1080p film at an acceptable level.

Arent any good for general computer use though. you cant use them to reas emails or anything like that. But they work fine for asetto corsa and watching films "which is all i use a projector for any way.. "

lamp life on these things means you can probably leave it on for 4 years and the lamp will still be fine..
The lcd screen on the other hand "never mentioned in specs and life expectancy" is more like 2years So if your thinking of getting one. and want a cheap alternatave this is about as cheap as you can go and get a useable one.
It was about £40 new.
if you want a proper one then your looking at over a grand and a new lamp is probably £200 when it goes which will make these £40 disposable ones look a lot more attractive.

All I can say so far is I love it, fast and very smooth thanks to the 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 Quad core CPU with Qualcomm's Adreno 420 GPU and a healthy dose of 3GB of operating RAM for it.

Will look to doing a small review on it shortly when I get chance to write one up.

mate that is beautiful

Aye, it does literally everything I want it to do and absolutely nothing more and nothing less. Seems like it was made for me tbh.

Has the XLR plug with built-in 48v Phantom power and pre-amp for the mic, an instrument/line-in for stuff like recording guitar directly to the computer or using the PC as an amp and a DAC/ headphone amp (with a direct monitoring feature so you can listen to yourself playing the instrument through headphones with 0 latency. :D

Also, no drivers so it works under OS X and Windows. And it comes with a shit tonne of free software and plug-ins for the £80 that it costs!

YAY!!! :D

Ear Sex

Yeah, I'm proper exited about this purchase ^_^

The Scarlett Solo is awesome! I really do feel the DAC is slightly better than the E10 was for my speakers (MS16 Studio Monitors) but headphone-wise there isn't much of a quality difference. The mic pre-amp is really good though, and I finally got rid of that background static noise it used to have with the old PSU, but no pre-amp :)

Also, Windows 8 Pro NL arrived today, so I can finally make that PC that I gave my dad for his birthday work properly! Will immediately update it to Windows 8.1, install drivers, and then a whole list of software, cause it's essentially a media PC.

Going to be good fun to finetune this installation as my dad dislikes stock Windows 8, even though it's awesome for an HTPC OS and with the touchpad keyboard that I got him. Also he cannot handle change, like for instance when I install LibreOffice for him cause it works just as well, but is legally free and he always insists on using almost legal copies from dodgy sources!
