Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

In that case the G4ME Zero headset must not be an "Audiophile" headset as there is virtually no difference apart from the Strix having a bit more bass.

Its not really an audiophile headset. Its closer then the Strix though. ;)

yay it all finally arrived.

Yeah I thought it was, Makes sense, Although I can honestly not tell the difference at all between the 2 headsets, Personally I think the G4ME Zero is not an "Audiophile" product at all, Maybe in price but that's it.

Nice stuff :)

You hero, good buy!

Im currently in the market for a new AVR, whats your setup like?
Currently a bit of a mish mash (as shown in my room thread):
AVR: Marantz SR4200
Amps: Inter-M R300 and 2x Harrison Xi150
Phono: Thorens TD 160B (using my old luxman L-220 integrated amp as a phono stage)
PC: Xonar essence ST Deluxe (with the 7.1 H6 expansion card) & a Yellowtec Puc
BD: Panasonic BDT120
DVD: Cambridge Audio DVD75
PVR: Humax HDR-FOXT2
TV: Panasonic 50" UT50 plasma
Front speakers: Tannoy SRM-10B dual concentric studio monitors
Rear speakers: 6.5" JBL GTO in ceiling
Sub: Home made 10" design

No centre speaker as I don't find it essential with a good pair of front speakers. Currently I only have the front speakers running off a power amp and the rears are running off the receiver. When the 7701 arrives I'll have to run the rears off one of the two harrison power amps as it's just an av preamp. As it also comes with a built in phono stage, I can take the old luxman amp out altogether and I also won't need the sonifex balancing unit as it has balanced outputs. The big disadvantage vs the old 4200 is that modern AV equipment has significantly less recording outputs. (tape/cd-r loops) The 7701 has one single line level out vs my old one having four. Luckily I can cheat my way around that problem by using my sound desk.

Got a few random bits, of note are:

EVGA SLI Bridge.

I can't believe I didn't get one of these sooner. This is for my main PC; I'll post images in the project log later (link in sig).

MSI GT 720

This powerhouse of a graphics card :D is to add to a server/media pc that I'm building using reclaimed bits. It's the model with 2GB of GDDR5 running at 5GHz, whoop! I was using an old AMD Radeon HD 4870 but that needs 2 power cables, gets too hot and consumes way too much power even at idle. The PC that the GT720 is going in to will not be running any games so it's more than adequate.

So, at last..

It's not a beast by all means, but it does the job. And it does it a lot better than the Antique Rig, which had a lot of problems the last few weeks... Also I really wanted a discrete GPU, and the budget was about 400 euros, so hence the CPU ;)

I guess you guys want the specs then!

Intel Pentium 2117U
NVIDIA GT 710m (currently OC'd - +64MHz Memory clock, +20MHz Core Clock. More to come when I buy a laptop cooler, even though the temps seem alright now. 85' Celcius whilst playing Skyrim at medium with a second screen for temp monitoring and Spotify)
4GB's of DDR3 RAM
15.6" 1366x768 screen + Secondary 19" 1440x900 screen for Spotify, Twitch and Youtube while gaming and Temp Monitoring
500GB harddisk + 1TB External HDD

I guess that's everything that's worth mentioning :)

Sorry for the horrific photo-quality, it's taken with my (also quite new) Moto G (2014) ;)

Good to see you have a new set up buddy ^_^

Thanks man! I'm very happy with it :D

It's more for schoolwork, but I also just got a job at a local supermarket so I might just safe up for a HTPC with some proper specs!

Also, just did a 3DMark run through Ice Storm. I have no idea what this number means, but I'm fine with it

^^ Yes quite!

My graduation essay takes up a lot of my time, and the Antique Rig kind of broke down after almost 10 years of service, so that's why I've been away for quite a while :)
