Ordered these for home use as my near 2 year old seinheiser in-ears crapped out on me. Longest a pair has ever lasted me. Excluding my overly expensive Mezes. But then again they're hand made and cost alot.

Ive disabled the acceleration on my gigabyte m6880 mouse yesturday, i got used to it over few hours and now i like it.

They look like the mice when I was in college, they were good enough for local LAN's on CS Source.

Lol, the basic small mice I always found best for gaming, I can't game with all this bulk, new shapes and buttons.

2 of the best mice I've ever used have to be the Razer Mamba 2012 which my dad now has and is still going strong even though I purchased it 2 years ago and it has been HAMMERED and the corsair M95, Both are flawless.

You used to be a razer nut, you should be used to cheap and nasty gear.

No one uses these mice for the plasitcs used. Saying that they are pretty solid by cheap mouse standards...

The M95 has polling rate options from 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz and 1000Hz *1ms, 2ms, 4ms or 8ms* and DPI settings ranging from 50 to 8200 using it's Avago 9800 sensor.

The Razer Mamba I don't have a clue about my I know it performs very well.

DPI are often falsy considered to be an indicator of the quality of the sensor. My Rival could be running at 6500 DPI 1000hz, but who needs 6500 DPI. I'm using 400 atm.
The WMO may only support 400 DPI, but with the USB port overclocked it apparently beats pretty much every gaming mouse. Especially laser mice are overrated, laser sensors aren't that accurate.

Oh well, optional polling rates are standard with every mouse costing more than 20 euros and most mice can go as low as 50 cpi as well. Not to mention that with a bit of tinkering you can change the polling rate on any mouse.
The m95 is a laser mouse though so the sensor isn't the greatest, the Rival at least has an optical sensor.
We'll see how much of a difference, if any it will make. They sent it today, so it should arrive on wednesday probably.

I've just switched from a Kone Pure Laser, to a Kone Pure Optical last week.. enjoying the accuracy and lack of hardware acceleration so far, although it doesn't work on anywhere near as many surfaces lol.

I cringe everytime someone uses a mouse without a mousepad anways. Those scratches in the feet of the mouse! Terrible.

Which mouse pad do you use out of curiosity ? I got myself a Corsair MM2200 Extended and an OCUK Mega Mat XXL, This thing is HUGE.

I used to have a Corepad XXXL (maybe XXXXL, can't remember). 90x45cm, but it was also like 3.5mm thick, feels like a towel. So i now bought a Steelseries QcK+, 45x40cm, 2mm thick. Pretty happy with it, would buy again. It's pretty much the perfect size for me, i use it to its full extent without overshooting.
Not a fan of putting my keyboard on a mousepad, it negates the effect of the rubber feet.

The 3XL Mega Mat is 1200mm x 600mm x 2mm, Love the feel of it and pretty cheap for what it is, 14.99 GBP or 18.79 euro

Got my new Erem cutters and RS screwdrivers. Just waiting on the other bits from mouser.
