I was so confused when I saw that on steam not 20 minutes ago, WTF were they thinking! It's so funny

After several weeks of waiting, OCUK finally got 780 XSPC blocks, backplates and 45deg rotary fittings back on stock.

The second thing i did after finding out they we're on stock was to grab my car keys and off i went, this is the result:

I did also buy 2m Primochill Adv LRT tubing but forgot to include it in the picture.

Im still waiting for the 90deg rotaries to come back on stock then ill be grabbing a few, and also i've got 1x Mayhems XT-1 Clear on the way; hopefully that'll arrive on tuesday.

Then when i've got all this ill be rebuilding my loop with a liiitle beasty addition

Yup it's the lowest point but I've no idea how effectively it will drain, it hurt my head trying to figure out what would happen so it's going there for aesthetics if nothing else and it should manage to get most of the water out, we shall see.

So long as you have a place to open the loop at the top (a fill port), and you open it when you wanna drain it, believe me when I say, it should evacuate pretty bloody quickly!

I had to drain my new loop as I fucked something up *doh* and it went slow at first, then I cracked the seal on where I fill it up and WOOOOSH out it all came.

Mine is on a pump at the lowest part of the loop but the effect should be pretty much the same!

Kinda needed it for the Art & Technology course that I'll be following from next year on. Still not a fan of laptops though. Currently removing all the shitty software that it comes with.

Can't hate a company which has never had a product die on me. Slight bias aside they are also relatively crap free, which is neat.

Even their budget stuff feels solid. Explains why they're the only windows laptop company making money/growing still.


Finally bought my gpu. Comes with free gunnar Optics.
Its actually a Palit 780 with stupid gamer glasses (not an evga one as shown in pic). Its £400 and I'm not going to give EVGA any of my money again.

The reference cards are more expensive than most of the 780s you can buy. The cheapest ones are evga (£380) but due to my previous experiences with them I'd rather not give them any more of my cash.

Anyway, the reference Nvidia cooler is pretty quiet and appears to be cooling well. Might even get some nice overclocks out of it with the intake fan so close to the GPU intake.

Will you attempt the LED mod or are you keeping it green?

I'll be suprised if it can OC, I'm really not expecting decent temps. I don't know if I'll attempt the LED mod as the green might just be a nice feature. Unless its lit up, nothing in the case actually stands out. If the motherboard clashes with it then I obvs will.

-edit- For the record I do not own a doritos themed xbox and the Gunnar glasses will probably never see the light of day. I'll give them to the unlucky sod who buys my current rig (he hates the whole MLG thing as well).
