Managed to pick up a Steam code for RE:Village for £14 :)

If the sound fits the price they will be worth every penny !

Finished my KB.

Stoked with it :)

Ooooof now that is nice, If that was a permanent product I'd think about getting it for my generally all white and black setup.

A nice new Hisense 55" U7H TV, after I did this to my less than 12 month old LG Nano TV :(

Was adding rack mount brackets to the side of a new switch, and it fell and dinged the tv right in the middle at the bottom so sent the lines all the way to the top, and then to the sides.

Got to say though the Hisense TV looks far superior to the LG!

New server is getting closer to being finished.

Got the replacement Ethernet card 2x 1GB & 2x 10GB ports for the server a while ago and 1100w PSU's for it recently but the hdd's was the whole hold up.

Took delivery of 20x 2TB 2nd hand SAS drives the other day, 15 of them have joined my 9x 4TB drives in the Netapp unit.

Got 5 of the 2TB drives sat for spares at the moment, and not using the Dell/EMC Disk Shelf yet but plans are to replace the drives in the Netapp unit and then as I do, put the drive that came out in to the Dell/EMC unit, may even put the drives out of my old server in it once I make it redundant.

Server is a Dell R720 with 2x Intel E5 2660 V2's, 24x 4Gb DDR3 1333Mhz (96Gb), nVidia Quadro P2000.

Running Unraid which I finally got setup yesterday and left it dealing with creating the "Parity" data, but I made a mistake and didn't notice till this morning.

I set a Samsung 1TB SSD as the Cache drive instead of the 2TB Samsung SSD, so now it's doing a "Parity" check which is going to take another 20 hours or so.

Once everything is settled and I am happy with it, I can then start looking to transfer data from my old server, setting up Nextcloud or something like it as my brother is going to be sending photo's of car's that he is working on, since another scumbag has decided to pull a fast one, so all car's are now going to be fully photographed before he touches them.

Still got a few things to do, and one thing I will be doing is swapping the whole network to Fibre which is going to be a lot of fun!

An Xtrfy K4 TKL RGB to replace to replace my Fnatic MiniStreak Silent.

(For some bizarre reason the MiniStreak has started ghosting on some keys, I'll be stripping it down for a deep clean to see if that solves the issue)

Yeah nice work Ste !

Funny you made AV stands. I am about to modify mine. I don't like having my centre speaker on the floor like that. So I am going to remove the drawers in my TV stand.

Not going to throw them out. The stand is oak, and would cost a small fortune to replace. Instead I am going to fit batons around the inner edge, put a flat panel in there (MDF covered in 3mm matt acylic) and put this in.

What's perfect about that is that the drivers are angled upward. So I can get it much closer to the screen, and then utilise the fact the drivers fire upward.

It's a Revel wall speaker. I paid £120 for it. New they are £850.

So that's another cool little mini project :)

And some thermal tape.

I guess 10 years ago the appropriate term would be "yolo" as NDA is still up, but I can't see more cache and efficiency cores hurting over 12th gen and am not keen on Zen 4. I might be regretting this in case AMD releases 3D cache silicon but...

Easiest mobo choce ever as this was the only available DDR4 mITX board. Also would otherwise avoid this from afar, look at that lack of VRM cooling. Going to be interesting how raptor lake + b-die stacks up against DDR5 results.

This has been sent by retailer about an hour ago, fingers crossed it'll make here tomorrow. :D

Seconding the notion of keeping the speaker covers on, by the way!

Nice dude.

I have to go with Warchild though. I have not had the grilles off since I was younger. Mostly because it at least offers some protection to the tweeter domes.

And Looz - yeah man, pics or it didn't happen dude !
