Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I just bought ED just now on steam. I still had £20 in my steam wallet from xmas :)

Did you get the Horizons expansion? If so, it's awesome. They recently released a patch for Horizons users (called Beyond chapter 1, for some odd reason). It contains serious visual improvements (buzzing by planets now looks INCREDIBLE), loads of bug fixes, functionality improvements, etc. If you have Horizons, you'll get that updated through Steam automatically. It's a huge improvement on an already stellar game.

If I started smoking again, considering how much I'm enjoying Elite Dangerous right now, that could be trouble. I'd probably be looking for a way to quit my IT job and connect my arse directly to my sewage system, so I'd never have to get out of my chair again, showers be damned! Having WAY too much fun flying around in space, especially with my new HOTAS mounts.

I ain't gonna lie right, cannabis was the only thing that got me through my teens. Now I was already pretty messed up in the head before my teens, but obviously then that is when your brain starts pulling some disgraceful stuff, like making you feel so bad that you want to cut/harm yourself etc. I don't condone its use because I know full well the problems it causes. It kills a very large amount of brain cells and makes you lazy and stupid, and, it 100% causes terrible paranoia with over use etc. It didn't do me any favours in the end but I highly doubt I would be here without it.

And yeah, I loved to play video games. Sitting right up close to a CRT (did you know you can get static shocks if you put your nose on a CRT, oh and it smells of Ozone).

So that's why I wear glasses now lol.

I also don't believe a word of this "It's not addictive" nonsense. Maybe it is not addictive in the same way something like heroin is but when you come to depend on it just to get you through the day it is terribly addictive. It was extremely hard for me to stop, but when I make my mind up to my credit I do actually quit things. I just can't do that with nicotine (I wish I could).

But god, even tonight I can feel my blood pressure rising for no reason (OK I am lying, there are plenty of reasons and no one person should have to deal with everything I am right now) and could do with getting smashed out of my tree lol.

I used to have this shed down the end of my garden. My brother like, 80% built it then got bored, so it never got the glass for the windows or the door hardware. So I took this yellow tarp I had and nailed it inside to cover up the windows and used to sit in there and just fog the place. Then put on my headphones and listen to Reggae Hits 1-10. Sorted :D

No mate I spend too much on Vaping stuff this week about £130. But someone may buy it for me "nudges the Mrs" as I hit the big 50 in 9 days :P

The biggest problem the vaping scene has (aside from uneducated legislators) is stupid people who have no clue about batteries and how to treat them.
Most, if not all incidences of exploding devices is down to user error and misuse of devices.
Stupid is as stupid does :D

You do need the right batteries aye. Cheap batteries have no overheat protection and will literally start the reaction which causes them to burst into flames. I only use Sony, Sammy and Efest. Though you do need to be very wary of fakes.

I just bought some Sony VTC6 18650 for mine and although you can charge them in the mod "it's recommended you do not by the expert vapers" I have a dedicated battery charger for them. this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00PQBGE6C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use this to calculate the rough ohm of the coils I have made http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.html

Then a multimeter ;).

I am very very comfortable with electricity. My Father taught me the dangers when I was very young as I used to go to work with him on a Sunday. To a railway substation where there was voltages of 25Kv. No health and safety back in the 1970's ;)

Back in the 70's, I was adjusting to having come up in a commune, and then my parents joined a cult religion. I didn't go to school, so I had a lot of time to create stuff, because my parent sure as fire weren't going to buy it = ) I used to get cast-off parts from my step father's office equipment repair job. Home made microscopes and telescopes, bug zappers I made from copier power transformers (15 to 20kv). I made an air-gap zapper that I would place over anthills to zap as they came out of the hole.... after a few days the ants would pack up and leave. We were dirt poor, but I had a childhood full of experiences that I have seldom seen in others. Some horror stories mixed in there as well... but that just added to it, I suppose.

Quick guys run for the hills we have a mad cultist Axe wielding kidnapper in our midst :p:p:p;) Hahahahahaha

On a more serious note I was raised on a council estate in Essex. My parents were both SE Londoners and moved there as they were part of the London overspill in the late 60's. I was always in my dads garage and he would bring me back old meters etc from work which we used to strip down together and he would show me how they work and what does what etc. We didn't have that much money for luxuries. To this very day I am still like that and take a hands on approach to anything I want to learn. It may take me longer but in the long run I will perfect it and the end result will be better :).

LOL... one of my maternal relatives was Lizzie Borden, who was widely know back in the day for apparently killing her father and step-mother with a hatchet. She was acquitted, but this was in the 1890's, and I suspect she got away with it due to local sympathy. There is a nursery rhyme about it, and they keep doing movies and documentaries on the subject. In our extended family there is a simple division between those who think she did it, and those who no not. My mother, who is the next closest thing to a luddite, has an email address that says merely "lizziedidnt".

Our family has an extensive history in England extending back to the era of Richard the Lion-Hearted, and were some of the earliest settlers in America.

Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her father forty whacks....

IIRC I have read two books about it and watched a few docus too. There was never any concrete evidence either way, was about the upshot.

Best serial killer/murderer book you will get that. Not cheap, but hands down the best one I've read (the one written by Jeff Dahmer's father is awesome as well)

Bloody power button just fell off my mbp

So that's my most recent purchase. New one of them.

So the UCS Falcon has been constructed and is in it's case!

Should I post some pics in here or would it be better to have it's own thread?

Do it some justice and make a thread for it! I'm still building mine, only through the 6th set of bags.
