i got a SMP (project 6702) on right on, and it'll be done in 11hours, so i'll delete and reboot and reinstall and try again after this WU is finished (don't wanna lost almost a day of folding with my T9600, its slow enough

(unless i'm really newbie, and there is a way to "save" the progress right now at 70% so after i reinstall it can resume... but i don't think thats likely )

With the normal clients i always saved the "work" folder deleted everything else and replaced it after all was installed again,

worked perfectly fine..

this should work the same with the Tracker yet i ones lost the "bonus" points for the BIGadv WU,

yet you are on a non BIGadv WU so maybe you have more luck then me , there is a BIG change you are as i am the loser(unlucky one) under the Folders

naaaa everybody encounters these little annoying things...

but to be on the safe side, i would also finish the WU first...

OK, so that WU finished sometime this morning, and i deleted all clients and tracker and then reboot, and dl and installed it all again.... Same problems still happening...

Can you guys tell me what you use to fold --> =D because it sounds like most of you don't you GPU Tracker V2, but i'm too newbie to figure it all out the manual way... i mean i tried to go to the FAH site, and then after clicking around i found the "high" preformance clients, since i need one for SMP and one for GPU2 (cuz my 260m is not really a fermi card) or maybe i should still use GPU3, but anyways what i was gonna say is that i tried to dl these clients and got all confused because when i tried to run the GPU one, it was asking me things that i unrelated to the GPU more like i was setting up the CPU and then when i started it (this was before i uninstalled the tracker, which was running SMP) it said that i had to close the tracker... so i'm not really sure how to set up all the clients "manually"

if you could tell me how you did it (and have the links for what to dl

btw i'm running win764bit) it would make life so much easier.

if you just download the clients from standford, do you use the system tray, or console version???? does it make a difference?

ok soo big update for you guys...

Firstly i installed and configured a gpu and smp client step by step, everything the way stanford recommended. then i ran the smp client (its the command line version) and it is on and working

which is good BUT BUT stanford's site said that for SMP you have to choose big as the type of WU... now it also said that older dual cores might not meet the dead line :S so i don't know... its all configured for SMP, is it ok is i run normal sized WU???????????

-i'm asking because its been 37min, and its still not at 1% and i'm worried that it'll do most of the WU and then not finish in time

[EDIT: --> it took 42min for 1%, and if my math is correct that means just under 3 days of folding for this, and the preferred deadline i found out is like 28 days

NEXT the gpu client... i installed it and everything, tried to run it and it didn't work... gave me a error "cudart.dll" is missing...........

so i googled, and i found that you need to copy and paste it from somewhere else... so i found that file, and put it in the right directory and then next time i turned it on it started

yayyy right?? NO... because even though i was able to start it, it is still giving me that unstable machine bull***** argggg

, its saying that i used my upload quota

booo any way around that, so you can see all the command line stuff that it said when it worked, but failed)

mircosoft security essentials.. but since my cpu is working don't think thats the problem. and on my desktop i'm using the same thing and the both gpu and cpu seem to work fine.

I was looking at the code, and i realized where its dieing. there is something that says :

Also, replace your Core_11 with this one (I see you're using v1.31 which is old, no idea why the tracker got that version).

Hey guys, i downloaded HFM and using it just for the one client

because i still can't get the gpu working...

ok so i tried EVERYTHING... really i tried downloading all the clients, GPU2 and GPU3, i've tried the systray and the console versions... i've tried replacing the fahcore_11 with the one you provided (btw thanks) and i've done all other suggestions so.. bascially now i'm stuck on only using the CPU..

but there is ONE more thing i wanna try

If anyone of you are using a gpu thats older than the fermi series, can you email me your files from your gpu? i think you can find my email in my profile, if not just let me know and i'll post/pm it. (of course no need for the client.cfg i can run through the setup, with my own settings).
