I am planning to buy this card EVGA GTS 250 1GB 256-bit DDR3 for Physics and I currently have a 470gtx superclocked... Does anybody know if the EVGA can keep up with a 470gtx? I also have a E8400 C2d 3.6ghz... t.y. in advance....

Another question:

I am not really a gamer but do worry about power bills... If I'm not gaming and the EVGA still plug in my p.c. how much power it will consume???

I used a 250 for PhysX. I've found Mafia 2, with the option to turn OFF APEX PhysX runs slower with it ON with either a 250 or 480 dedicated to PhysX. The PhysX GPU isn't fully loaded in Mafia 2's benchmark.

The card doesn't slow the game, it's the PhysX, that's wat i see

That is good to know Jerome. I am thinking about using a cheap Nvidia card for dedicated physx. Do you happen to know where the diminishing point of return is? That is to say, the sweet spot for price/performance.
