Yes I think so - seeing as OPB has the fastest x2 I've seen at 3.4Ghz under -100C cascade. But we live in hope.

what core / model did he have?

I hit 3ghz extremely easily. No overheating, passed all tests and benchies without a problem. The only thing I may have to upgrade is my ram...current ram can't really push out the voltage I am looking for.

He had one of the best - one that liked the extreme cold. Trust me you wont get 3.5Ghz.

Great overclock on 1.5v but isn't the Asus premium limited on vCore to about 1.55v which is probably what you have set in the BIOS at the mo? Might hold you up the lack of vCore headroom on your mobo mmm!! Mine maxed out about 1.63v ...
