PEXONs Parvum Vanilla

Hi guys, well, its been a heck of a long time since I've been on OC3D, I really miss it. I used to spend a lot of time on the forums, but over the past year, work has taken over and I barely get enough time to read the topics of interest, let alone contribute to the forums.

I am back with another project. This time I am working on a rig in a custom Parvum case with a bit of a difference. The case is made up by my good friends Shaun and J in vanilla and red acrylic. After a few conversations at iSeries, we came up with an idea of a case that was a little unique in regards to the layout. A taller, wider and fatter version of the X1.0 with more room for watercooling and activities.

The case was cut last year, but as above, time, money and yet again, time have not allowed me to dedicate myself to the project. I have now started to get some serious progress started and I should have the project finished in the next 2 months or so.

The rig currently consists of:-

Parvum ITX case (custom)
i5 2500K
MSI H61 ITX
280X
Silverstone Strider Evolution 750W
8GB 1866MHz Hyper-X Savage

The following photos are just some highlights of the case and a few other bits of work I got done over the last 6 months. Once I get some more progress done, it will be back to decent photos and a proper build log.

Lastly, big thanks to J and Shaun @ PARVUM as well as Pascal @ Aquatuning for supporting the project.

Here are some progress pics, as per OP, just a montage of previous work.

Thanks for checking it out.

I am getting a block for the 280X, a new 120mm rad and I need some advise on 1150 ITX boards and suitable processors under 250 in total, I'm completely out of the loop in regards to hardware at the moment due to work !

Nice little build, love the color scheme :)
Concerning your needs for a 1150 setup, at this price I would go for a Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI and a i5 4460, don't know the prices in UK but here in France it would cost you around 230 pounds 20%VAC included.

Can't wait to see what's next !

Good to see it gracing the forums, maybe i'll see it finished at iseries ;)

MSI Z97I ACK + i5-4440 get my vote. Keep an eye on where the power connectors are though as they vary quite a lot on ITX boards. Can always do mods or rage at J. though :p

Thakns dudes, appreciate the comments and feedback :D

Going to be looking into those recommendations. The Gold ITX ASUS boards look like they would fit in well, but they are Z87 and H87? Can't find them in stock anywhere?

Would the i5-4440 be much of a step down from a 2500K? Really not bothered about overclocking if I'm honest, I don't get chance to do much gaming at the moment, just a bit of League, CS:GO, so nothing demanding at all really. Lightroom and Photoshop work fine for work photos with 8GB of RAM and the CPU running at stock.

P.S JR, shouting at you seems the best bet :D lol Some the ITX boards I have seen have the 24 pin in a better position than the mobo I currently have, same with the SATA ports, it will make cable management a lot easier. Thanks for the recommendations time to do some research!
