Performance pcs are RUDE!!

I placed my order Friday evening and checked on the status of my order today and it was still processing. No big deal, i decided to give performance pcs a call just to find out what was going on. I called them up and asked them what was going on with my order. Wasent rude or anything, just simply asking. The guy i spoke with [didnt get the name] got smart saying "uhh were busy". I then asked If he knew when my order would be shipped. Still being polite ignoring the previous comment. He said "when we get around to it" still being sarcastic. I then said "hey, theres no need to be smart about this" he said something about me "calling and calling" I called twice. TWICE!! This being my second call. I told him i don't think it was to unreasonable to want to know the status of my order that was placed almost a week ago and over $600 worth of stuff. He then said "what would you want me to do, be talking to you or placing orders" This was like a minute into it. I don't deserve this!!! I am the customer!! I then told him this is the last time i ever order from performance pcs again. He then apologized saying "sorry, im a smart guy and im sorry" by that time i didnt care. I've spent alot of money with performance pcs over the last two years. They lost me as a customer. Period.

if its processing can you not still cancel it?

I did. I called them about 20 minutes after all this happened. They sent me a email saying that they can try to ship it out today. I just replied and told them that i would rather wait, put my build on hold and order elsewhere. Now i just feel its about the principal of things. Why would i want to give them almost $600 of my money after the way they treated me? So they are going to refund my money.
 
I had a similar experience with Scan. My Paypal payment didn't go through for a 6850 I ordered so I sent them an email asking them how to resolve the issue and they didn't get back to me for 9hrs and when they did they gave me a number to ring and to speak to a guy called Matt so I could give my debit card details and pay for it that way. When I phoned the person they asked me to he spoke to me like I was a piece of S*** and when I gave him my card details as soon as I gave him the last number he just hung up on me.

Three hours later I got a email telling me my order had been processed and it would be delivered on Monday the day of the order being Friday, so I thought good, at least it's getting delivered but half an hour later I got an email telling me the item was out of stock even though it was on the Scan website that it was in stock (and was all weekend after the order) so I rang them to complain about it and the same person I spoke to before took my call and the only words that came out his mouth were "it will be delivered on Wednesday, ok" in a sarcastic and angry voice and he then hung up on me again.

I made a formal complaint and told them the persons name who I spoke to on the phone and they tried telling me that no one with that name works for them and that they would get back to me which they never did.

Thank god I never actually phoned them about my NAS that took nearly three months to arrive, only stuck with the order because I couldn't get it anywhere else. Just another British company that wants your money and gives little extra in return

So it's not just me that has had bad dealings with them.

I like using Yoyotech now, they have amazing customer service. Every time I have had a problem and emailed them about it they have gotten back to me within 20 minutes and they have been really polite and helpful and sorted it out the same day.

Cheers, next time I'm in need of something I'll check if they've got it, give them a go.

Wow, this does suprise me.

Ordered a huge bunch of cooling kit off them a number of years ago, and they were short on a number of things. Being as I was only in the states for the following month or so, the guy I conversed with bust his arse to get me the gear I wanted from other states where they had either holding places or suppliers directly.

Be a real shame in my eyes if they've changed.
 
Could just be the one guy, if you've got a company with multiple sites across the US as you say you're bound to have a bad egg somewhere in the works.

aka scam after they started to stick a sercharge on all online oders to cover your items in case you break it during installation, you can go back and remove it but its on by default. i wont say what they are known as to anybody who has had to deal with their aftersales service :|

i had good xp with yoyo a couple of years back when i used them but tbh they are expensive.
