PCI/USB for W7 Pro 64bit.

I've got a cheap knock off wireless card which seemed to do the job fine in Vista 64bit HP, but I've just upgraded to W7 64bit Pro and it's not liking any drivers I can throw at it.

Soooo, instead of murdering myself trying to find the drivers (I've been on the Tenda website [card is a Tenda from eBuyer! btw :p] and not even THEY work!) I was hoping someone could help me find a more main-stream card. Or if people suggest a USB that's just as good I'll go for one of them! :D

My PC is probably diagonally above the router, it's a sharing network so it's got pretty high speeds. With my current PCI card (when it worked in Vista) was also giving me poor speed results on speednet. My house mate told me to update the drivers but because I had a hard time looking for any drivers for it I just didn't bother. So if it's possible, I'd like a well-branded PCI card/USB make.

Budget: Probably around £30.

Thanks in advance! :D

Thanks for the quick reply, Luigi. :D

How are speed performances for you? If they're good, I'll probably nab me one.

Im afraid the Pc was for a customer, not me (and I dont have home wireless) so I cant tell you what the speeds are like :(

Ah right, no problem dude. :)

I'll keep it to one side, maybe check out reviews as well.

Any other recommendations?

Cheers.

Abit airpace. A bugger to get working, but it's cheap, pci-ex1 and has good reception.

My brother suggested it was easier to install under win7, just had to tell windows it was a card from another producer with the same chipset.

Yeah, I tried to tell W7 that it was a third party hardware etc, but no joy. :(

Yeah, had a look at a few reviews on the card, doesn't seem to be a favourite. Also has a few problems with certain routers. I have a 50mb Virgin Media router, but I'd assume most PCI cards are compatible now-adays?

Any others worth having a look at? Or should I increase my budget to get better? If only I had a port in my room...

EDIT:

I went with the D-link G520 108mpbs. Seems to have good reviews over the 54mpbs one and not as many (if any) problems either.

Just want to confirm that the D-Link G250 108mpbs works a treat in w7. Didn't even need to put the CD in. :D
