PC wont shut down properly

also, i have a cunning way around as the other day mine refused to shut down properly, exhibiting all the traits mentioned above.
i fixed this by adding a shortcut to my desktop as such:

  1. On desktop, right click and create a new desktop shortcut
  2. when asked for the location type "%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00 -f" (excluding the "'s)
  3. name the shortcut as shutdown (or something similar so you know what it is)
  4. double click it to shut the computer down
  5. hey presto, should work perfectly.
hope this is of help if others suffer similar issues

The dam thing is back doing it again and it doesnt matter what i disable it still sticks at logging off it worked for about 4 days after uninstalling USBboost3.0 but now the bloody thing is back at it.

If i turn the pc on but dont log in just press shutdown it took 17 minuets to finally shut down WTF why is it doing this? on the verge of throwing the bloody thing out
