My pc wont boot or even light up, spin fans or anything..... What could it be I have done everything. Turning it off and on, clearing cmos and tried to turn it on via the motherboard. Do i need to get another mobo ?

Dumb question I know, but the switch isn't flipped on the power supply is it?

Edit: Have another power supply to test with or can you do the paper clip trick to test your current PSU?

Hi,

Could be PSU. Do you get any lights come on on your motherboard when you switch it on? If not then it could be power (PSU) or just a loose connection somewhere. I'd recommend double checking ALL connections from the PSU to be sure. If your PSU is modular be sure to check it's firmly connected BOTH ends of course

Also worth checking the fuse in the plug, and the one in the PSU too possibly (might have to disassemble - carefully does it while NOT PLUGGED IN THE SOCKET! lol) If you have a spare kettle lead from another PC I'd swap that around too just to be sure. I had a kettle lead fail once, surprised me!

So, in summary, Plug and PSU fuses as well as all connectors from the PSU to the motherboard - things can sometimes just work loose.

Best of luck, let us know how you get on.

Scoob.

Bend a paper clip into a U shape put it into the green wire on the 24pin and one of the black wires either side of it. If it turns on it is said to have passed.
