in responce to my system dying and my tight budget, this is as cheep as i can go. thats asuming my grapics card still works as well, if not about another 400 on top that price for a gtx 670 or 7950.

I take it this build is for gaming?

If so, I would reduce the processor to a 3570k. It'll perform exactly the same in gaming, as games wont utilise the extra 4 threads of the 3770k, and it isnt really worth the extra £60.

Also, I wouldnt get that cooler. It looks good yeh, but for the price, the performance is no where near the Phanteks or the NH-D14 so they would be a better option to me.

Other than that, it's a good build.

Sorry, thought you meant to triple fan zalman!

i plan to do encoding down the road.

how many grapics card do you plan to run?

plan to run dual cards

Edit: trying to see if i can get parts to fix my 800d

ok if you go with two gtx670's you will only need a 650 watt psu and also if you go for 1600Mhz ram this might save you a little bit of money, hope this is of some help to you, good luck with your build

thanks so much i got a hold corsair and they sending me parts to fix my 800d so that will save me some cash do u think id be better off with a h100 cooler and vengeance ram??? i tested my 280 today & its dead so thinking about dual XFX Radeon™ HD 7750. do u think i could have fun with those in games??? i want to run a triple monitor setup one day "3x1080p".

edit: the triple monitor setup wont be till PC running. but i want to run a 5120 x 1080 reslution

tbh i dont know what the prices are like in the usa so kingston or corsair when it comes to ram are fine, if you are going to run a triple monitor setup then one gtx 670 or 680 will do just fine, the noctua d14 is a good cooler and cheaper than the h100 but that said the h100 is a good cooler aswell

also if you get two 670's then it's all most like having a 690 but at only 60% of the cost

i am guessing u a fan of nvidia. i have to admit i like them, but doing a 3d vision surround is so expensive. but since it be the icing on the cake, i bet will be good. my brother worked for nvidia till he died. i have the first gen Samsung 22" 3d now, but want surround gaming like in World of Warcraft an the batman games. so u say dual 670's will be good setup then??? or would a single beable to do 3d in a 5120 x 1080 reslution?

one 680 can run 3 x 24in monitor no problem 3d aswell and the 670 should be able to aswell as far as i know so i would say get the 670 and save your self some money

What number, 'build idea thread' is this now?

i lost count but this is now after it died. tried booting and wouldent wouldent install window graphics errors left n right n finly wouldent post. it died hard in 1 hr. now im borrowing a laptop i gave my mom thats only good for the web. some facebook games crash it though

i think ill just get a single 670 then save myself some cash and know evga working on a dubble ram 670 too

Hi, when it comes to 3d with a gtx 670/680, 3d surround require two or more graphics cards of the same type i.e two 670's in sli but you can run 3 monitors and as long as you have got a blu-ray drive then you can watch films in 3d

I'd get more than 650, and I'd get something other than an XFX. Corsair, to me, are the de-facto psus. 750 min probably with 2 of the newer nvidia cards. 850 is probably too much, but nicer however.

I saw "tight budget" in the title, was thinking i5 + 8gb ram + standard hdd + cheap gpu

was shocked to see i7 + ssd + 7950
