Hi everyone:wavey:, sorry if i posted in the wrong thread?

I need help with building a PC and just want some advice, i want a q6600 and am going to try overclock to around 3-3.2Ghz, but i prefer air cooling and was wondering if you had any good cases/extra fans/PSUs in mind perfect for the job. I'd like to keep these under £150 please

Any ideas on good motherboards to help me achieve this would be helpful too!

I also need some help with choosing RAM, I want 4GB for video editing but i have no clue as to which brand or MHZ to choose, 667 or 800?? as there are too many to choose from...

I already hope to get a 8800GT too, although as im hoping to buy after christmas not sure what will be out by then :S

U can`t argue with that selection tbh. Sure there are alternatives, but those there are quality enough, at pretty good prices, to look back and laugh at when ur system is fully built.

Or for the same price you can get yourself a Zalman, bigger fan means a duller noise. Just a personal preference.

Everything looks great to me, but im not sure if you need this HSF .. you can get 3Ghz very easily with this CPU ... I second going with a zalman cooler!

y connection) i don't know much in terms of memory but i will say that if it's heavy overclocking you want then i guess you could try taking a look at an Asus P5N mobo, it's price is $80 (U.S.) and i've heard some pretty good things about it, the only setback i see is that you can't rig it with SLI since it's a crossfire board but other than that i see a pretty good buy for the money

Asus P5N boards are nvidia based. Hence the N in the name. Theyre all SLI capable.

Sure your not thinking of the P5K or P5E (P35 and X38 respectively)?
