So i am already getting restless and i have decided im going to do a small build just for fun and with a few modds. I plan to do some modds on the psu, fans, doors and maybe a few more. I am also hoping to use the D-14 as a passive heatsink, but ofc. i need to run some tests to see how high the temps get.

Specs list:
Intel Pentium Dual Core G860.
MB. Asus P8H77-I
Ram: 2x4 Gb vengence LP white
PSU. CM 850M pro
Noctua NH D-14
HDD's: WD Black 500GB, WD green 3Tb and i may use a Corsair performance 128gb ssd.
Case: Bitfenix prodigy white
Gpu: Sapphire 4870x2 (if it works)

OS: MS Home Server & XP/W7 64-bit

The case, cpu, mb, ram, server os and the WD black hdd ive ordered last night. Cost is 600-650£ so its a rather cheap build.

Thanks for stoping by. Il be back with more when i recieve parts.

Looking forward to this, can't wait to see what that cooler looks like in the case :P

Where did you order the mobo from? I've only managed to find it in 1 UK stockist, a right pain to find!

Recieved the case today and it is now ribbed. Il get the cpu/mb/ram/fan tomorrow. I have ordered some stuff from p-pc's aswell.
Im planing how to do things atm, but i need a bit more time before i can start modding the case. Il probably start with the psu/hdd/fan modd after the weekend. Got tonns of shifts this month. September will be more relaxed month

Ooooh, very nice too.
I must say, every time I see photos of the Prodigy it gains ranking order in my mind. I shall have to do a build it in one day. The day I win the lottery, or get a job, perhaps :)
Can't wait to see more.

That prodigy case is the best looking itx case around atm. Those white leds on that 200mm fan should light the front up nicely. How do you think the cpu will stack up in terms of horse power? Do you plan on doing any transcoding on your server?

Thanks people.
Sheroo: Im not sure if i will use that aerocool fan since ive got those two Silverstones. They seem like great quality compared to the 200mm, and they also have a fan controller.
It will mainly be used for storage and some older games. When it comes to transcoding i must have to wait and see how it handles 720p/1080p.
I am thinking about getting a newer gpu since the current one is so power hungry even in idle mode.
If the cpu is to weak then il grab a quad core second hand. The G860 was very cheap so np.

Nice, can't wait to see the sleeved cables :)
So i am a little upset atm. I spent most of yesterday sleeving the 24 and 8 pin & removing stickers and an extra 8esp. The 8 pin after parasleeve looked so good and i was amazed about the quality of the paracord i have. It looks so mutch better than the bitfenix extensions with no small threads sticking up here and there. Very nice weaved indeed. The problem occured when i started with the 24 pinn as the red and orange insulator colours shined trough a bit. It isnt that noticeable at first glance, but in good daylight you see it and it takes away some of the aesthichs with my sleeving. My fingers had burnwounds and its gonna take a while to remove the paracord and replace it with a mutch easyer to work with mdpc sleeve. The only way i will use the paracord again is if the insulator colour is matching the sleeve colour. Yellow black insulator was not that noticeable when sleeved in white though.
Tonight ive ordered sleeving for 100£+ so it will keep me settled for a while :p
Moving on to other parts while i wait. ^_^
