Wahey!

got 4 minors

all the way round you kinda pick up on every bump and feel that it was enough to fail xD

spent the rest of the day looking for a car + insurance

its double the amount for a bloke than a girl...at 17/18 anyway...

18 on monday...mebbe a car? xD

Congratulations dude, really have to get round to sorting some lessons out. I'm 24 and have a driving instructor living across the road from me, you'd really have thought I'd have done it by now.

Congrats mate :)

Dont talk to me about insurance haha- Try getting insurance on a 323i 2.5 coupe at 19 with 1 years license for less than a trillion pounds a month lol

What sort of cars are you looking for?

I was a named driver on my mums car - shame I cant do it on my dads....

Passed test last year and that put it up by 200. so round 400

So that was so that I am able to learn to drive, then drive it the remainder of the year.

Now it comes through and it goes up by 1000.

I am x10 more expensive to insure than my mum and dad.

Spose that the generic 19 yr old, driving one year, little experience - I have been on the road since 16. But no, that dont make a difference.

ouch

im looking at any small efficient cars such as peugot 106, 206, 306 (1.2l) and stuff like corsas, fiestas etc.

not really wanting to bodykit etc. looks silly on small ****e cars although i will be doing the speakers over :worship:

watch the topgear episode on best cars for 17y/o :P. They did it cheaper by being put on there parents insurance or something, i cant remember:P

but i think that something will go wrong if you do more miles that the other peron and claim to be a "second" driver/

Sweeeeeeeeet! Nice one congrats! I've got my second driving test on Monday, I really, really want to pass this time!!!

xP

Any ideas on first car/insurance?

Its all a bit mental on the insurance - dont care for the first year as long as i get my no claims for a better car next year =]

im gunna start driving august time and i came across something quiet retarded lol

all these big comparethesupermarket.com etc are aload of ****e

CHURCHILL is the way too go fella the lowest insurance on a 1.2 corsa on compare the market was £1400 on a shared insurance with my mum with 9 or more no claims, then my step dad said just try the good ol dog, put all my details in and wolaaaaar £340 :)

well done and yeh sting your mum or dad on insurance just don't crash else there premiums will go through the roof ... lol

37 old 15 years no claims "never crashed (well no in the UK) 1.8 Ltr picaso £130 fully comp

congrats on passing mate.I remember what it was like trying to get insured when I passed,I paid 100 for the car and was paying 900 quid a year third party on a 1.3 sr nova(I had mine long before the chavs started using them)

So going direct to the company is a better choice?

I want it to be my own policy really, with perhaps a parent as one of the named drivers...so i can get my no claims correct?

Check with tescos, churchill, nationwide and prudential, they tend to be the lowest for young drivers.

The companies that would actually offer insurance on my car to me (not many) were asking around the 4k mark. Tescos did it for 1300
