Part compatibility

Directly from that page:

"The base of the waterblock is made of a nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal material. The sealing is performed by quality rubber gaskets."

Don't know if it's also plated inside ( the upper part ) but i think it may be.

I read EK had some problems in tha past with nickel plating, but they claim to have solved it http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2011/07/28/ek-introduces-electroless-nickel-plating/1

The problem could be nickel corrosion, don't think there could be galvanic currents

Actually I have NO experience about EK waterblocks, so don't trust me 100%, I have no responsibility in case of issues

See, that is partially what prompted me to ask the question.

Upon further reflection I think it's academic anyway. I've spent this long ensuring that I have an all copper loop. I'd be crazy to let a little thing like supply chain restrictions stop me from accomplishing that.

Also take a look at Scorptec and Umart to see if you can get what you need through them before you go overseas as you never know your luck

MSY used to be my go to for parts until I moved away from working in the city. Now it's just easier to use pccasegear.com.au for most everything. Not the cheapest, but reasonable prices.

Scorptec.com.au and umart.com.au both struck out sadly. Any other suggestions for Australian water cooling sites? I've checked almost all the Australian retailer sites listed by xspc, EK and Alphacool on their websites. ..

I think you might have to deal with specialtech then as they will ship overseas and they have a good reputation http://www.specialtech.co.uk/ and if you can't get it there then you probably can't get it anywhere

Good tip thanks! The other options I was looking at were Frozen PC or Performance pcs. Thanks again for your help.

Edit: salt specialtech.co.uk don't have what I'm looking for in stock. Frozen and performance do however, so I guess that resolves that question. Thanks again!
