Rad Fans Rad Fans Rad Fans!

I'm temped to get Noctua NF-F12 Industrial PPC 120mm 3000RPM PWM Fan as they are they same price as Noctua NF-F12 Industrial PPC 120mm 2000RPM PWM Fan.

i found this to hook them all up to but i dont know how it would go
PWM Fan Hub

I dont spose you guys know of any fan controllers that can handle 10+ fans? Ive never used one.

or i guess i could use all my MB headers and then get a fan controller for what ever is left.

Edit-
R4BE Fan headers-
1 x CPU Fan connector(s)
1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s)
3 x Chassis Fan connector(s)
3 x Optional Fan connector(s)

between these I would go for the 2000RPM as I believe they have a min RPM of 450 (http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=78&lng=en&set=1) wheres the 3000RPM only go down to 750 RPM (http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=80&lng=en&set=1). Would you realistically ever run over 2000RPM?

I like Akasa fans for my rads. Akasa Apaches on 360 top rad and vipers on my 240 bottom rad. Bottom rad is an RX240, top is an UT60 360mm.

Can I throw my 10 cents into the mix? Which case are you intending on shoveling mass amounts of air into?

I'm thinking flow if that makes any sense..

me?

Switch 810 atm but I'm really wanting to upsize to a 900D which i think is going to happen after i replace my GPU which went to silicon heaven last week.

A moments silence for lost hardware...

I always see fan selection mainly focused on SP/AF, High/Low RPM, Brand ect ect but rarely does any one pay attention to case internal space and the cubic feet per second of the fans.. while RPM is important, it's not as important as the overall system air flow.. I always look for 1:1 ratio on air in to air out.. obviously it's not a 100% tried & tested science as hot air is thinner than cooler air.. but the theory is spot on.

Then we have filtering dust and restrictions like cables, drive bays, hoses.

Long story short I'd go Noctua or Corsair

I've been through 3 sets of fans on my H100i .. the stock fans, Aerocool DeadSilence and currently running Noctua IndustrialPPC 2000 PWM jobs.

Stock fans really do the job cooling wise but boy are they noisy at anything above about 70% .. thankfully unless you're in a really hot environment you'll probably never need to run them at more than 70%. I swapped mine out as both of them started making ticking noises after about a month and I fancied trying the very cool looking Aerocool fans ...

Aerocool DeadSilence are really funky looking fans (I got the blue LED version) and they are very very quiet indeed even at max rpm .. but they are too weak for effective use on a rad. Running at max rpm (about 1400) they could just about maintain the same temps as the stock fans at about 40% .. not great :( They need to be run at max rpm all the time and this leaves no room to ramp them up for heavy load conditions. Nice fans but no good for a H100i rad. On a couple of larger rads in a custom loop they may be ok but still not ideal.

Noctua IndustrialPPC 2000 PMW ... straight up flippin' awesome!! At max rpm they are noisy but no where near as noisy as stock corsair fans and they really force lots of air through my rad very quickly. Most of the time I have them running at 30% at which point they are damn near silent but still cooling very efficiently (just as good as the Aerocools at max!!). These are without doubt the best fans I've had on my rad and I would recommend them for any rad use. Quiet, powerful and with lots of grunt to spare should you need to really give your rads a blast of tornado like cooling .. and they are black too!!! ;)
