P67 MIVE vs UD7

Hi there, the time has come for me to let go of my good old Q6600. I'm going to upgrade to a Sandy Bridge 2500k, Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb and either the Gigabyte P67 UD7 or the Asus MIVE P67. I'm not quite sure on which one to get...

The UD7 would be a perfect board in my case since I have a black/white theme. But which one of the 2 boards is "best" performance/overclock wise? I run on air (D14)and at the moment i got a Gigabyte GTX 460 1gb, and I plan on getting one more.

PS. I don't care about the UEFI.

Thanks!

If you want vengeance rams, just be sure you buy LP(low profile) version or they wont fit under the nh-d14.But kingston hyperX grey series, mushkin or gskill ripjawsX would be better.

Thanks for the reply

Low profile vengeance ofc. You can't get Mushkin in Sweden

I don't relly think the ram will matter a great deal. Not like i will see any difference in games. We have G.skill, but the only black ones are the sniper 1.25v wich you can't overclock. The Kingston HyperX grey aint very common, found it on a internet shop ive never heard of so far. If it's these you mean(?) What makes them better? Same speccs as the Vengeance. If you don't mean these that run on 1.65v

Last underscore is the one i have in mind

They perform very good when oc`ing the cpu.

2133mhz rams are faster, but its not all mobo´s that have the ability to run them. And you only gain some few fps.

In my humble opinion,1600mhz rams is the best and cheapest option, for gaming.

High end mobo,gigabyte z68x-ud7.Have it myself,and F@H stable at 4.78ghz with i7-2600k.

But there are some good p67,z68 high end mobos.

Ive decided not to choose the Z68 to save some money, + the extra 3 ..or so.. features is useless for me. Doesnt make any difference what so ever when it comes to overclocking. It is leaning towards the P67 UD7
