P4 steppings?

Got me a 3.4 Ghz Northwood this morning (and a Mach II, cheers Daz), and it seems its a 30 capper SL793 Malay

Anyone on here know anything about good steppings and whether I have one?

At the moment, I think all P4 3.4's are SL793 Malay 30 Capper chips.

They are definitely good clockers, but you need pretty good watercooling or phase change (which you already have ) to get decent clocks out of them.

The max I've seen them go on a mach II GT is around 4.4-4.5 Ghz and 4.2-4.3 shouldnt be that hard to achieve really on a mach II

Should be sweet then, getting the Mach II regassed in October as well, and may switch to a Prescott for some uber clocking

I had a 3.4 northy....

All 3.4 northys are D-1...Sl793s...

that doesnt mean nothing though...not all clock very well as it is obvious but you get good chances...

i got mine at arround 4.7Ghz on my mach 2 GT..
