Hi all,

My specs are in my Forum Signature.

The stock volts that are going to the CPU is 1.4v but because of the power save feature on the 4790k, using CPUz the Core Speed and Core Voltage change regularly when idle.

I can't seem to locate where I can turn the power save feature off. I'm trying to get my rig idle at 4.6Ghz with a low voltage of 1.2v but because of the above it changes constantly! :(

Does anyone know where to find this on my setup?

Many thanks

First off. You can't just choose 4.6ghz at 1.2v. You need to see how far the chip will go before you get uncomfortable with temps. It's easier to choose a max voltage and aim for the highest OC.

I haven't used DC or z97 boards. But it still should be almost the same. Turn off C state(think its C6) and i believe its also speed spectrum. I keep Vdroop at max as well. Should be the case of starting at stock clocks and finding the lowest possible volts it'll run stable at. After that bump up the clock by 1. Find lowest volts, repeat. I wouldn't go over 1.3v at absolute limit. 1.25ish is what i would aim for.
