Overclocking FSB while having CnC enabled?

I have changed my FSB speed from 200 to 230 MHz, but i've heard that CnC can screw up stability if you mess with your FSB, rather than your multiplier.. is that true? Should I disable CnC?

I may just turn it off... but i just tested my cpu with prime95, it reaches up to 65C... which is where my threshold is... Even in intense gaming my cpu only reaches 51-52C, idle it's at 37-44C... why is that?

Official 6100 specification is 70*c max, so you probably have till 80-85*c before you'll encounter instabilities and 90-95 before thermal shutdown.

Also can you please run Folding At Home on your 6100 for me, just long enough to tell me the estimated PPD under v7.1.52 - I can't find PPD for that processor anywhere.

Thank you.

I'm not sure how Folding @ Home works, I know it's a stress test as well, but i'm technically not sure about how it works... there are two ID's where ID 00 is at 1.52% and ID 01 at 5.38% and it's at 21k PPD, i'm stuck at 59c, so, before i complete the total 100%, i'm just going to ask before I continue, what does the PPD measure?

PPd is points per day that your rig produces basically its a way of keeping score between all the teams. I havent folded in ages so i cant help ya set it up.

Before doing any overclocking make sure you enable the max temp safety feature on your mobo. Put it at 75c, once it reaches that your PC should shut off.

AMD say that the fx6100 maximum temp is 70c, does that mean.....

1. The average temperature of the 6 cores should not exceed 70c.

or

2. The overall temperature of the CPU Die should not exceed 70c.

im new to all this, so apologies if this is a stupid question

I ask because after running prime for 30mins there is a 10c difference between these two

scenarios, so i would really like to know for sure what they mean by this magical "70c".

I've always ran the heatspreader temp way above specification, so assume it to be the core temperature.

Also the heatspreader isn't processing anything so getting sweaty won't cause instabilities with it.
