Overclock - Asus Rampage 3 Gene - Help me

I have another doubt

If us set RAM as 1866 MHz manually, I need put the QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.45V for work in CPU stock speed and DRAM Bus Voltage: 1.64V

Like, If I not to do the over in CPU and use it in stock speed with the config RAM in 1866 MHz. Is this will be possible work normally?

I really need learn about overclock because I am too noob in these questions.

hi there mate you dont seem to be having any luck try these settings first clear the cmos so you know your system is at stock values just press the green button on the back of your case enter the bios and use theses settings

ai tuner [manual]

cpu multiplyer [ 19 ]

bclk [ 200 ]

dram freq [ 2005 ]

uclk [ 4009 ]

qpi/dram [ 7218 ] manually set ram timings to 8-9-8-24-n2 leave everything else on auto disable all intel tech cie support disable, a20m disable, intel c state tech disable, intel speedstep tech disable as ive already said to get 2000mhz ram you need qpi at 1.4 to 1.5 v just leave all the voltages at auto for now and lets see if you can get it to boot into windows once your in windows open evo turbo v and adjust your vcore voltage to 1.30625 and try the qpi at 1.4 v give it a try m8 its just trial and error from now on also do you have qpi loadline enabled on your board? if not you have to set the jumper on your board you will find it near your ram slots at the side of the 20/24pin power supply this may help you to overclock if at first you dont succeed try n try again

right cachacerio ive had a play with some settings for 1600mhz ram you can leave your cpu at stock values 3.07ghz and use 1600mhz just set everything on auto apart from dram set to 1600mhz uclk set to 3200 qpi load data rate set to 4800mt/s f10 to save and see if it boots into windows if you have sucsess you can try uping the bclk to 160=3.7ghz dram 1604 uclk to 3207 qpi load data rate to 5774mt/s you can either set your ram timings manually to 8-9-8-24 n1 or just leave it on auto the auto settings will set it at 9-9-9-24-n1 if you can get it to boot into windows once we get you booting up @ 1600mhz we can try for the 2000mhz like ive already said its trial n error m8 with your spec though im sure we can get you up to 4.0ghz @2000mhz ram. what are your main reasons for your overclock? ie gaming, multimedia , multi tasking or just like me because you can

Hey

I use my PC for ie gaming hehehe.

To over my CPU I take some care because if I lost this system my girl will kill me. My last system 2 months ago I lost the MOBO because got trouble in the transmission of the cable of ATX 12V near of the CPU.

I wanna to do this step by step to avoid troubles.

Is possible you give me configs like follow below for make over to 3,5 only? by the way, the set that you see is for 3800 and 4200 MHZ. I not tried this!

Base Clock Frequency: (200Mhz)

CPU Turbo Power Limit: Disabled

DRAM Frequency: (2005 MHZ) 1866MHz (either 1604mhz or 2005mhz) go with 1600mhz first

UCLK Frequency: (4009 MHZ) ( change to 3200 if you go with 1600mhz) this should be 2x your ram

QPI Link Data Rate: Auto (set to 7218mt/s)

EPU II Phase Control: Full Phase

try this remember dont rush and be paticiant start at the bottom and work your way up once again you should be able to acheive 3.8ghz @ 1600 or 2000mhz have you tried running 1600mhz ram @ stock speeds yet? this is where you need to start good luck m8

by all accounts the i7 processors prefer the uneven muttiipliers so you want 3.5ghz thats 3500 ~ 19 = bclk 185 this will offset your ram to round 1400 or 1800mhz ram you can try these settings to see if it works for your needs bth you will be better @ bclk 200 as it sets up the ram multipliers so all the ram settings are possible 1066 , 1333, 1600 , 2000mhz or as close as you will find 133 bclk , 160 bclk n 200 bclk all help to get your ram to 1600 or 2000mhz its hard for any one to just give you settings for your cpu as i have said they all preform differently keep trying you will suss it out the more you play with your bios the more you will get used to the cpu and board you are working with also the h50 cooler isnt the best for keeping your temps down n thats what we are all trying to acheive lower temps = better preformance = higher overclocks

Hey mate

My cooler H50 is not simples one, him seems now H70 with two nice coolers CM R4 92 CFM. The idle degrees now is 40 degrees and here in my city is hot like 35 to 40 degrees. My room temp is like 27 degrees

I think that can support 4 GHz but more than not.

I will only change this cooler for water block and solve all situations lol

maybe the vicious of this OC is injected in my blood lol cuz is in my head get the best and best WTF.

Nice too meet you and many tks for your help and support hehe, Same for tiny

However, my country is Brazil, I think that you percepted that my english is limited, but i practice every day.

My GPU has overclocked to 804 MHz and get nice answer here. =)

See the photos of my CPU hehehe

I expect for your comments

ha ha nice to speak to you too nice system plenty of room in there for water cooling and seeing your in brazil this may be the way for you to go if you intend on acheiving 4.0ghz @2000mhz ram i think if your happy @ 3.5ghz then i think you would maybe get away with the nocthua d14 cooler im not sure with your ambient temps water water water yeh man go for water cooling it look good in your system
