Our rules & tips?

Get a Dremel, a proper Dremel, learn to use it properly and don't be afraid of it... It will pay off.

Make sure your screws aren't too long for your radiator.

Forget the benchmarks - it's the games that count. Save money on things that don't matter - like super speedy RAM - and spend it on things that do matter - like the GPU.

A system is only as good as its weakest component, so don't go powering £500 worth of GPU with a £20 PSU.

Never use other peoples OC settings.

More intake than outtake fans.

Positive pressure = cleaner rig.

I think this is a much nicer way of putting the quality/price argument...

"The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten." - Sir Henry Royce (or Aldo Gucci, or Nash... IDK)

More great words of wisdom :)

If you see a part you like and it has very little reviews, don't buy it until you've found someone who has that part and has experience of it.

Hey Wraithguard, could you add all of our tips to your first post. That would make it easier for someone to pop onto this thread and learn from our advice.

If you can't afford to replace it, don't fuck around doing something risky with it!!

In this day and age of zero common sense this should be the #1 Rule
It should also be included in all hardware warranties.

Ask the guys who know rather than just jump in feet first , they can save you a lot of time and money and if you don't understand ask again or someone else , not everyone is technically minded and what may seem like a brick wall to you might be an easy fix for someone else
