Ordered from Newegg. DHL shipping.

Yeap. God dammit. Package was almost to where I was, tracking now shows, 4 days later, it's moved a state away.

SmartPost is bad enough, but -snip-, now DHL? DHL is worse than USPS(And I should know, having worked there.)

So bad to use DHL. Newegg is just down the toilet.

Is it really that bad? I don't receive DHL orders very often, but I've never has a problem with them.

I make sure not to choose DHL when I ship from any site. So many times where they hand off the package to USPS and it takes an extra 3-5 days on top of their already slow shipping. Newegg has been using them for one of their options for a few years now. Thankfully, they offer other choices.

Well, it was free shipping, or pay 6.99$ on shipping a 9.99$ item...so yeah...

The item in question is a bluetooth dongle. Sent in a letter. 25 cents...lol.

Anyways...the tracking hasn't been updated since the first day...and their own website says they have no record when I try to track on it.

Can't complain about DHL in Germany. Never god a damaged package, they're always at my door at around the same time which makes it quite predictable.
Shipping takes like one or two days within Germany.

This all happened to me when I ordered some stuff from Amazon. Free UPS shipping, however, when my shipment reached to a city that was close by, I got the dreaded "Package transferred to post office" message in UPS tracking. I've never seen that message before so I Googled it. Turns out to be that "Smartpost" service with a whole bunch of search results talking about how it took weeks to deliver. But, surprisingly, it took only a day for them (USPS) to process, so I was pleasantly surprised. So my experience with Smartpost wasn't bad at all...

I think if you choose the cheapest rate, it seems to default to Smartpost if you're using UPS; likely a planned tactic.

For newegg i use ShopRunner. You pay 50$ a year for it but they give you free 2 day shipping on any order now matter the size. Everything will come in 2 days guarenteed. Also after your first year is almost up if you buy any item and use the SHopRunner shipping they give you an extra year free.

I have saved over $100 in shipping from them within the first 4 months. Well worth it!

Also any item from Newegg can be used with SHopRunner. They mainly use USPS but once i have gotten UPS.

I prefer Amazon Prime myself.

smartpost is DHL to destination city then USPS to your house. UPS has a similar service my prescription drug company uses that for my daughters meds. I have to call them everytime and tell them not to do it cause it can add 4-5 days to the delivery time which is stupid imho. Once its in destination city it should be delivered next day.
