OPTX light problems

Recently I bought a couple of the OPTX lights for my PC. I've discovered that these lights need a 'connector kit' which can't be purchased at the store I use. I've searched the internet and discovered that these lights can be hard wired into a computer without using the connector kit.

All I can see is the CCFL, which is connected to a small unit (transformer?) and at the opposite end of that is two bare wires. I'm unsure of what to do with these bare wires and don't want to spend more money buying something else.

I see it says DC+ on one of the wires I'm gonna assume that this will probably be 12v and the other is ground. Got a link to the store so we can check the specs for the connector kit. But if it is 12v then you can just wire it straight to a molex connector

Simple.. grab two tooth picks.. put a wire in either the +12v or GND and push the tooth pick in.. then snap it off. The cable will be in there snugly that is what I always do, just make sure the cable is actually in there and make sure that you dont get splinters in your fingers when pushing it in

Tooth picks fit in just right, and make a good, tight quality connection!

Sorry could you be a little bit more specific, I'm a bit of a dumbass in these situations.

So, I get a toothpick and push the wire into one of the holes at the end of the molex?

Do I keep the toothpick in the molex?

What 'holes' or female connectors on the molex do I push it into?

I have a spare molex and the tools to do the job.

If you get the wiring confirmed, +12v and ground etc i can put it together for you if you are happy to send it over

Either go for the solder or dispantle a molex, un-crimp the cables, stick your wires in with the 12v+ and Gnd and re-crimp the barbs onto them.

And the little box should be an inverter, changing the DC current of the PSU to an alternating current to keep the particles in the tube excited and emitting light

Sorry about not updating this thread guys, I got it working late night on the 3rd October. All it required was me to push the DC+ striped wire into the 12v hole (yellow wire) on the Molex, then plug the non striped negative wire into the negative hole (black wire) on the molex. Here's a picture of it set up in my new rig, I apologise for the quality - my camera doesn't like taking pictures in the dark.
