Optimal Striping Block Size for 2 x Raptors?

I'm trying to find out what striping block size I should use this go around on my RAID setup once my computer gets back up and running. I have to format and start over since I'm switching my array to a different chipset (nf3 ---> nf4). On my nf3 board I was using a striping block size of 32k and it seemed to work good, but lately I have been hearing people getting better results using a 64k block with their Raptors and getting a higher increase in performance.

Anyone have any personal experience with this?

I havn't got any figures or links to back it up, but i do recall in the past that 64k was recommended as an all-round size, but if you do lots of vid/pic editing, go larger.

K, I think I'll give it a shot this next go around!

well since you are gonna upgrade ne way y not get a pci xpress raid card so your RAID pack will have some level of portability -- just outta curio do u really need that raid (assume u usin RAID0) cause Rad 0 is only effective for large files as the access time is increased over a single drive so for lots of small files (e/g loadin games) the performance is decreased but for large files u cant get ne better performance

Link me to a pci-e x1 raid card and I shall purchase it! *maybe*

nf4 ultra pwnzinates the raid 0 catagory :D
