I am currently running my gaming rig in an Antec 900 rev 1 case and contemplating a new case. The case I am set on if I was to change is the Coolermaster 690 advanced with the clear side panel.
To upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question.
I'm not a huge Antec fan (hahaha, double meanings FTL ) either.
I got a Sonata many moons ago and thought it was over priced and over rated. I mean sure it was a nice case but compared to the Dragon I had before it (VB will remember that one ) it was limp, light and flimsy. It also cost $30 more than the Dragon.
I think one day soon I will do a 'classics corner' review of the Dragon. I just hope it doesn't end up in limbo like the Boomslang review I wrote.
Some PSUs don't reach to the top though. Especially on the 8pin wire. My pal got a HAF (the smaller more mid type one) and his Coolermaster PSU needed an adapter to reach. He couldn't even get it up (ooer Matron !) by taking it right accross the mobo. In the end he had to put it all back into the Alienware chassis for the interim until the extensions arrived.
Mind you, he has an older CM psu so they have probably rectified that now
750w cost him more than he is prepared to admit. Lovely PSU but as I say, cables weren't long enough for the HAF. Mind you to be fair to CM as I said this PSU was made a while before people started putting them in the bottom.
